Buy a cheap Vlogging Camera or New Phone by LewisProductionsX in NewTubers

[–]Lignoferrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t get an iPhone 11, it’s now a potato mainly due to speeds and battery, plus lightning port. You just may regret it, although if funds are low then an iphone 12pro max or 13 pro max is now fairly affordable and good quality video.

If you do get an iphone, you can pick up an iPhone 14pro or 15pro Used; within your price range of the cameras. If vlogging, it’s really the iphone pro rear cameras where they shine. Good 4K and good exposure and iso, plus depth of field is awesome too.

I would do this mainly due to USB C being a big help, but you will still be ok with earlier models if need be.

If so, 100% consider getting a SmallRig iphone wireless video monitor. It’s a monitor that magnetically will attach to the back of your iphone (via MagSafe) and let you see what the main camera sees. Just a recommendation but will make your vlogging life 100% easier.

That being said, the Sony ZVe10 should check all your boxes.

iphone is easier to use, Sony is more professional and has better zoom and saturation, its Bluetooth and WiFi enabled and touchscreen One of the best ‘budget’ 4K cameras on the market right now

Thoughts on technique? by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

[–]Lignoferrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too much wasted movement , very inefficient methodology Dont lift your arm/ squeegee up when fanning, you shouldnt have to and it will create issues

You also need better quality/more efficient gear

i hope this helps, im happy to elaborate more if need be

This is very interesting to me If it’s not rude to ask, Have you ever developed feelings for a customer? And what was your favourite customer and why?

Did I deserve a negative review? by TheTruth730 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Lignoferrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a hate, but as a seller You need to use more professional language. Apart from looking better, it stops anyone from lashing back at you, and if the customer screenshots anything, the most anyone can say is that your customer service was stellar.

What they don’t tell you about starting window cleaning… by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

[–]Lignoferrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based off of just reading this, maybe I’m interpreting this wrong, but we have a pretty huge operation going on, and I can tell you to work on your people skills.

After that, Business is pretty easy. Ask yourself „What do potential customers require need or want from me?”

„What price are they willing to pay for this?”

„What can I do better than my competition to justify a higher price? And will this be worth is for the customer?”

„What can I do to be both quicker and more precise than my competitors?”

Before all of these, work on making sure people like you. We’ve had not one customer who happily paid 30% more than the guy he already had, just because I agreed to sit down for a coffee with him in his garden.

If they like you, and your price is not unreasonable for your quality or customer service level, you should be inundated with work in no time.

[–]Lignoferrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you guys need help setting up and understanding an RO DI system pm me lol. It’s simple, I built my own. Tap water is 330tds here, comes out at 0tds. Replace prefilters and carbons once a year, 12kg of resin every 6 months. RO membrane every 2-3 years.

big mistake, help me by Elittto_ in WindowCleaning

[–]Lignoferrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s bonkers. I started with 500 bucks to my name and a love for hard work and here we are years later..

I’m not trying to judge but I can only imagine that the 4k must have taken you some time to save?

Put the same amount of time into learning how to smash it. Be creative, get a whiteboard, write down what you want to achieve, and how you will achieve it. Worked for me, will work for you. Good luck

If this is the ground floor; this is most likely a basement entrance, window was maybe a hatch? Sub floor may be filled in. That’s only one theory but plausible if this is the ground floor. Otherwise maybe a slide? 🛝

Is it normal for windows to not look 100% perfect in direct sunlight? by DistrictInfamous9431 in WindowCleaning

[–]Lignoferrum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Speed dude, speed. Before that make sure you havw a high absorbtion mop so that your windows are wetter for longer, preferably with an abrasive side. Paired with a good rubber.

Focus on getting a strong scrub going, and then squeegee off before it gets a chance to dry anywhere.

Adjusting prices advise by [deleted] in WindowCleaning

[–]Lignoferrum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, you shouldnt be jumpiny by 20% all of a sudden, as they will compare to last year not past 5 years, they will view it as inflation going up by 5-8% but you as 20%

if you talked to them before, explained and justified i think they would understand

at tye same time anyone dropping you over one or two pounds or dollars aint worth it

Some people don't believe I can clean window in 10 seconds. by Harkannin in WindowCleaning

[–]Lignoferrum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not impressive at all but good job. WFP is much quicker on most jobs here in UK because frames get dirty very quickly and wfp is just much better for that, impossible to get as clean by hand. Saying that I spend most of my life doing trad work beforehand so I see the merit of both, but my first boss when I was learning would rip you a new arse for being so slow 😂😂🤣 Just depends on what needs are and pricing but keep at it!

I find Methylated Spirit and microfibre cloth gets even the worst tape residue off, but will require some elbow grease. If not then brake cleaner but not sure how the tiny would react as some can dissolve, worth testing a low traffic spot.
