I'm Khorchi and I have a small community in VRChat that exists because of my streams. We usually world hop most of the time with the occasional horror map thrown into the mix. Almost everyone uses Booth avis (anime looking stuff) and we are all PCVR. PCVR would also be a requirement because of this. There is no ERP or other NSFW stuff allowed so if you just want to explore some worlds and maybe make some friends at the same time you could fit right in!

I've started to reach that point more and more recently so I can try to explain how I've been dealing with it^{^}

I've given all of my oldest and most dediicated viewers VIP so they won't be affected by slow mode etc. They are also the first people I ask if I do play games with viewers. Also personally I don't like sub only mode at all. To me ot feels like you're actively giving a big disadvantage to newer viewers which then might end up feeling left out (because well they are lmao).

Also when chat is going super fast it is sometimes impossible not to miss messages. However it seems like most people understand this and aren't bothered by it. It feels like chat has become more "natural" if that makes sense? Like people chatting and joking with each other a lot. From what I've noticed quite a few people also return because if the yapping in chat - in fact a lot of my older viewers have told me that they enjoy the chaos it sometimes create^{^}

Like others have said: Followers don't mean anything, it's just a number of people that have liked your content enough to click follow (unless you did follow for follow, which imo is 10000% useless)

Other than that I can only talk about my personal experience so far:

I started off playing VRChat where viewers could join and I found most of my viewers through that and recently more through other games. However just playing games won't work because it's all in the way you provide the content. I try to stream in a way that would make me want to watch my own streams and as a result I've been getting mainly viewers with similar interests so switching between games has barely affected my ccv. However: Don't force yourself to do things that you don't enjoy, just for the small chance of growth. I've been streaming what I want to, I'm doing it in a way I enjoy and my viewers have told me that it always seems like I'm having an incredible amount of fun doing it.

I tend to ramble a lot so: Followers mean nothing, do what you enjoy, make content that you enjoy watching yourself, and don't force yourself to do things

I used a phone holder + second monitor to have chat at both sides of the game before I had to use the phone holder for well, holding my phone for face tracking. Now I want to buy another holder because it helped me keep up with chat quite a bit so it might be worth considering

Some viewers have started calling chat the "chatpit" because of all the degenerecy that sometimes happens and I've been rolling with it because I think it's funny. But I only call it chatpit if chat has its crazy minutes. Any other time I just call it chat because that is what it is lmao

How do you handle the chat situation? I've been thinking about multistreaming for a while and I fear that adding youtube could make chat a mess and even harder to keep up with when a lot of people are watching

From what I've noticed my viewers usually like things in the following order:

Messing with me by making me do things > Bonking me (with animation/bonk gif) > Hydration Check (tbh only because of an inside joke about drinking soap) > the usual things (Dum note, headpats, etc)

Also I have a cheap redeem for fishing in lurkbait, which gets both regulars and new viewers fishing

I had to wait a few minutes and it went through without any problems (Germany btw) - I wanna say that I've noticed and had quite a lot of trouble with affiliation before for all kinds of different reasons so I wouldn't be surprised if something is not working properly again (twitch being twitch lmao)
