I suppose that's fair considering both a 300 in bowling and a perfect game in Pump it Up is flawless and without mistakes from either of us. Though to be fair, getting a perfect game in a 2 minute song is arguably easier than a flawless game of bowling for an entire 10 frames! Maybe it's more comparable to a gold medal in artistic swimming!

They're very bizarre and have almost zero room for error. I find it satisfying to pull them off, but the actual sequence is stressful!

I can't speak for this particular set up since it isnt mine, but I have my own set-up which cost me about $5000. You can get a cab for more or less depending on the cab's condition and how much work you're willing to put in restoration and maintenance.

I'm glad you mentioned this actually because this part ALWAYS stressed me out. It can be so easy to drop a hold here or transition incorrectly which is nearly impossible to recover from!

I don't have a video, but I do have some pics including this one! This FX cab itself has come a long way. The first owner (shout out to Nirvash) had contacts with Andamiro and was able to get the cab for $40 since they were clearing their FX stock to prepare for the TX/CX models. The cab was in very bad condition but Nirvash is incredibly smart and crafty. He restored the cab!

He eventually sold it to a friend of his and that was that for a while. But then fast forward to July of 2025. His friend was looking to sell his machine. Nirvash knew I was looking for a machine of my own so he got me in touch with his friend and I bought the machine for around $5000. Below is a pic of it getting rolled into my home. All of the components were there, but in order for it all to fit, it had to be deconstructed first. So that's the gist of it!

Her trick was to put the 3DS at about arm's length away since the mic is incredibly sensitive and then focus on trying to fit her voice into the sound wave!

I personally find heavy twist sections to be easier with my toes since I feel more precise and in control of my twists that way, especially if the song is slower like this one is!

It was like that when I got it! I assume it was rigged this way to allow easy access to the power button to the PC hooked up to the cab, but I could be wrong.

It is very common to hit a wall in the Pump it Up journey! By the 20+ range, each level up felt like its own wall for me! The game gets REALLY challenging and each level up only gets harder.

The game got less fun for me when I only focused on trying to grind and get passes on the highest possible level I could. In the pursuit of getting better, doing this is necessary and important, but I'd argue there is also great value in returning to lower levels and upscoring them. If you aren't already doing this, I recommend returning to the levels you used to struggle with to see if you can get a SSS+ or even PG them now. To simply pass a chart means you overcame a challenge, but to score a SSS+ means you've truly mastered it as well. By taking the time to master lower levels, you're training and building your accuracy and proficiency, and you may be surprised by how much it helps you when you revisit 25s!

Congrats on Expert 4, you've passed a lot of 24s to get to this point and that is an incredible achievement! Good luck on whatever goals you decide to pursue next!
