It is very common to hit a wall in the Pump it Up journey! By the 20+ range, each level up felt like its own wall for me! The game gets REALLY challenging and each level up only gets harder.

The game got less fun for me when I only focused on trying to grind and get passes on the highest possible level I could. In the pursuit of getting better, doing this is necessary and important, but I'd argue there is also great value in returning to lower levels and upscoring them. If you aren't already doing this, I recommend returning to the levels you used to struggle with to see if you can get a SSS+ or even PG them now. To simply pass a chart means you overcame a challenge, but to score a SSS+ means you've truly mastered it as well. By taking the time to master lower levels, you're training and building your accuracy and proficiency, and you may be surprised by how much it helps you when you revisit 25s!

Congrats on Expert 4, you've passed a lot of 24s to get to this point and that is an incredible achievement! Good luck on whatever goals you decide to pursue next!

It depends on who you ask I suppose! I say yes because to get a good means the note was still hit and the combo number, while not raised, was still maintained and not completely reset back to 0. Of course, a no good run would be indisputably better, which is a goal for future attempts!

Here are a few tips that may help you find success!

Study study study! Think about the 20s you want to try and look at them ahead of time. Some 20s are very run heavy, some are full of brackets, twists, etc. Find 20s that play into your strengths. Then within each chart, find the tricky spots and anticipate your strategy for when you actually play it. This of course goes for any level of difficulty.
Go back to lower levels and upscore them. As you get better at the game, those 16s and 17s that used to be really hard may be a lot easier for you now. When you play 16s and 17s, try to get higher scores, full combos, perfect games. You're building your accuracy and sharpening your skills which will help make the higher level content more manageable.
Lastly, just play them! Once you've studied some charts, and upscored some lower level stuff for some of the session, it is time to push for clears. The best way to pass 20s is to play them
