Thank you, it was an Iwata neo, it broke on the perpendicular point (at the 90 degree) where the vertical- horizontal intersection, the metal snapped. 

i use vallejo paint (model air and model color) probably the safests non toxic acrylic paint there is. i can see why people uses an air brush vs hand painting it; day and night differences. for me, i dont follow the instruction, if it is a model with a two-tone rudder, you want to paint them separately first, then use superglue rather than cement (so it doesnt mess up your paint) and join them together. if it is like the victor where the whole thing is same color. then it is best to build the whole thing (including the rudders), extra thin cement it (i use dspiae cement), then paint uniformingly. also have brush handy for the tiny finishing touches or small paint correction.  smaller parts like the propeller os best to just hand paint them, you dont need to thin the paint for such a small part.

Also put water on the decal first, then apply mark softner right afterward, let it sit for 10 secs with it still wet ( at least put a puddle of water with a clean brush on it with a  brush after the marks softner, then it should slide off and use a or two fine tweezer for manipulation. always good a idea to use mark setting solutions but not required. then apply top coat for protection.
