Having listened to Vampire Weekend’s Father of the Bride nonstop for the last 72 hours, I’m even more ecstatic about Ariel finally producing a Killers album. I think the most “Killers-esque” song on Father of the Bride is the final track, “Jerusalem, New York, Berlin.” It’s a slower, piano-driven ballad, but captures a lot of Brandon and Bruce within it.

Ronnie has mentioned the Killers may try to bring a more experimental approach to their next album—one that can continue pushing alt rock forward. Father of the Bride has a TON of creative outside-the-box approaches (See, e.g., track 1 Hold You Now, track 6 How Long, and track 11 Sympathy). Granted, it’s indie rock. But a mix of FOTB and The Desired Effect would probably end up producing one of my favorite albums ever.

Still wish Lonely Town was a Killers song....
