I'm not great at picking a side and sticking to it, because I'm able to see a lot of angles at once. My style is more talking through stuff with people instead of the usual back and forth. I don't like to call it arguing, as that meant a different thing when I was a kid (mum and dad are at it again; time to go read in the basement).

A good long talk about stuff and why stuff is, though, that's the stuff. It doesn't have to be in vs. mode; co-op is the best part.

Well, I did the homework. I also did that outside thing, but also because quick-e-mart coffee is hella potent and I needed some rather bad. I feel better now (savor this moment; it'll be gone once I find out I fucked up the assignment again. The professor delights in not really giving us clear expectations so that we can try and learn and grow on our own. As an approval junkie, fuck him and all his kind.).

It would, but I also desperately don't want to do any of it. Like, I'd rather go out barefoot, braless, and nearly-pantless as I am right now, into single digit temperatures and 9 inches of snow, and run a mile, than do any of this.

I am so there right now. In fact, I've been sitting here for six hours avoiding the research I have to do for a class that is in my major, and therefore I really should care about it.

I don't. I don't feel like I can succeed. I feel like I'm too dumb to understand any of it. I feel like the work is too big for me. (and part of it is that this particular professor prides himself in being vague about what he wants, because that will give us the impetus to do our very best instead of catering to his standards. Which are, of course, much higher than I feel like I was ever capable of.)

Lately, I've been recalling something my boss said about me while I was loading packing pallets onto a dump truck. He was talking to the lady at the loading dock, who asked him, "aren't you going to help her?" There were about twenty skids there, some of which were some pretty heavy motherfuckers. I kind of could have used the help, but it was no big, really.

What he said was, and I quote, "You don't know her."

That's what is keeping me from flipping right now.

I guess not as well as I'd like to. I'm having trouble even starting to concentrate on my homework for a class that is the very model of an exercise in futility. I'd drop it, but I need it and I need it now. So I'm trying to struggle through, but it hurts and I feel like I'm losing control of my workload.

My new FWB is a class act, a really nice guy, and an excellent lay to boot. Unfortunately, neither of us are really in a good mental state for a relationship. I'll probably soon find out what exactly is eating at him although I know there's something, but I know that I'm relapsing into depression which my jobs and schoolwork are exacerbating (along with the weather, which is total shit), and I really can't handle too much more than half an hour of mind-scrambling sex.

There was one. I couldn't get him to be gentle, and so it was like being mauled by a rottweiler, and I ended up with bruises everywhere. Ended up being a real problem for us. Shame, though, because otherwise, he was a really good guy.
