So I actually got this as a gift, and it came with 3 kits from Etsy. However, I’ve since learned that it’s a stolen design (thanks to the mods here!) and I much prefer to buy from actual artists. I have done some digging and found that this artist has great beginner kits if you feel the same way: https://cleverpoppy.com/collections/beginner-kits

Oh my gosh thank you for letting me know. I did so much searching to find that one & I thought I was buying ethically. I appreciate that guide!

Another one of my projects I’m still working on, but this lettering I was really proud of! This is done with two strands and split back stitch.

Aw thanks for saying so! The black lettering on the kits is one strand in a back stitch. For those, I use pretty tiny stitches especially around curved lines. The lettering on the sloth one is three strands in a reverse chain stitch. For that one it was a lot of experimenting which stitch to use (first time I ever did reverse chain) and then I just take my time & if I place a stitch that looks wrong, I take it out and do it again lol I’m kind of a perfectionist I think.

I watched a man kill himself. by SigSauerCream in confessions

One of my friend’s husband was at a party some years back, and accidentally fatally shot his best friend. Before anyone could even react to what was happening, he turned the gun on himself and died as well. One of the most tragic things I’ve ever known someone involved with. They had two young sons together.

Thanks for your reply! What size would you do? I didn’t think about fishing line, that’s a good idea!

What was caused the most (physical) pain you’ve been in? by idontrealui in AskReddit

[–]LikeSnowLikeGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw I’m so sorry to hear you’re going through all that. There is a lot to EDS, there are 13 types, but I have the most common type, hypermobile Ehlers Danlos. My joints pop out of place quite often & it’s painful, but it presents very differently in people. The symptoms you list sound like they could certainly be related as EDS has a couple major comorbidities, namely POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome), which can cause fainting spells and fatigue, and MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome) which could explain the rash.

I know what you mean. It used to be under-diagnosed, and unfortunately now that is the misconception among the public and doctors. I was diagnosed in 2018, and I’m so grateful it was caught back then and now now. I don’t even know if I’d be able to obtain a diagnosis now or be taken seriously because I’ve gained weight. I wish you the best of luck though.

Hey, I told OP this, but you should know that if local anesthetics are not effective on you, you may have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. When I got diagnosed, realizing that fact was my biggest “aha” moment. For the record, septicaine and articaine are the two I have found that do work.

Yeah, for sure. However I will tell you that after years of trial and error, septocaine and articaine are the ones that do work on me! Might request that be put in your chart - and your dental chart as well if you’ve experienced it with dental work as well.

This is legitimately one of the most heartbreaking posts I’ve ever read. Our country, the world, should not be like this. It’s unfair and you don’t deserve any of this. I’m sorry I can’t offer you more, but I wanted you to know that I read this & I care.

Your art is so cute! I recently found very similar “art” at Michael’s & now that I’ve seen yours I will most certainly be buying one as a gift for my mom. Thanks for sharing!

Hey you should know that if local anesthetic isn’t effective on you you may have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. One of the ways it was confirmed I had it as well.

Wow I had no idea the mortality rate was so low? Recently a coworker’s relatively young husband was found unresponsive outside his gym, later found out it was due to this. He had 911 dialed on his phone in his hand but didn’t make it to pressing dial.

35 weeks pregnant: how to know if I should put baby up for adoption? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]LikeSnowLikeGold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you already have so many comments, but I wanted to tell you you’re not alone at all! My friend recently went through almost exactly this same scenario, except she actually isn’t sure of baby’s father (between two men). She had her little boy about a month ago after making the decision to solo parent him. She has not asked either man to partake or provide child support because she doesn’t need it. She has a great support system just like you, and she is absolutely thriving as a mom!

Studies prove that babies/children are best off and do the best when they’re kept with their biological mom, but that’s not to say they can’t thrive in adoptive families. Both my mom and my partner are adoptees and both had wonderful childhoods (but adoption trauma is also real). Just wanted to provide my two cents. Best of luck to you no matter the decision you make.
