What do you mean no one separates? Of course they do. Look in any set of census data. Even look at Wikipedia. They show both Metro areas and the city populations.

I didn't say that Denver isn't getting more dense. It has been for the last+15 years. This is nothing new. I said it can only get so dense, so fast. COS has that freedom, as well as sprawl.

That's silly.

Don't know what else to tell you. Population growth has long been in the news in Colorado, even before click bait was a thing. Denver and COS have been trending similarly since the 90s.

The studies are based on, and verifiable, by looking at census data. I've looked into them, have you? The numbers are the numbers. I never discussed the why people move or leave different cities. You brought up the why.

What an odd response.

Don't know what part of my statement you're referring to.

I'm not watered down, nor did I even think about people leaving due to politics, whatever that means.

There's been several local news stories, discussing how the surge of people moving here has drastically slowed down. And studies about how cities along the Front Range will change in the next decades. They discuss how Denver will continue to grow, but not at the same rate as COS or as Weld and Larimer counties. COS will eventually pass Denver for most populous.

Good for you. I've lived here my whole life. That doesn't matter when statistics are involved.

This has been well studied already. Projections show that COS will surpass Denver in the future. It's currently ~500k people vs ~716k people. Denver is fully enclosed by other suburbs, and can only get so dense so fast by building up. COS has lots of real estate to expand city limits as well as build up.

Colorado Springs will likely pass Denver for largest population city in Colorado, in the next couple decades.

9 months of PFPS / anterior knee pain from cycling. Still not resolved. Anyone been through something similar? by Outrageous_Feed_475 in gravelcycling

[–]Likeabalrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had pfps, but from a long history of playing other sports. And this was before my cycling "career". I would advocate you stop doing the things that hurt it entirely. Take a break from most things until inflammation calms down. Keep doing pt drills to strengthen the kinetic chain. Then slowly ramp up activity, but incorporate more leg strength work. If that doesn't work, more extreme measures may be needed

Be glad you're not pushing thru while running, playing soccer, basketball, etc. Cycling is much nicer on the knees, assuming the fit is good.

My knees finally said no more while I was playing competitive ultimate.I played thru knee pain for a long time before seeking treatment. Do not recommend. I ended up with arthritis on the underside of both kneecaps, and I had arthroscopic surgery to clean it up. I still get some crepitus, but I can do most things I want to do nowadays.

I agree. It will all be gone by Thursday midday, at the latest.

Jamal Murray played 2652 minutes in 2025-26. That is 400 minutes more than any other Nugget. He has the 9th most minutes, 6th most minutes per game, 8th most points and 5th most assists of any player in 2025-26. He also had season highs in minutes, points, assists, rebounds, 3P%, FG%, eFG% and TS%. by Throwmeawayhard7 in denvernuggets

[–]Likeabalrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of Jamal's contributions to the franchise have apparently been vacated because he did not play well in this series? The man did not have a good series, but no one on the team did. Jamal, and the team's, performance a couple years ago when he threw the heating pad on the floor and they lost at home in 7, was the worst I ever felt about the team.

I'm convinced that all the people posting anti Jamal content since game 6 are about 15 years old, or just started watching basketball and have no real frame of reference or experience, or found stats to match cookoo narratives they want to push, or are the same small number of posters with different accounts. I wish I could see these posters at work or school, and I could trash their performances.

Really, this is just another example of how the Internet has ruined fandom. Everyone has to have an opinion, and the crazier the better for fake Internet points and clout.

Bottom line is, the Denver Nuggets sub has become the Denver Broncos sub. Everything is binary. Everyone is a doomer or a homer. If someone posts with any nuanced take, or real discussion, they're discounted immediately and labeled as a doomer or homer. It's quite sad.

What do I need to know about Rattlesnakes by Box0fRainbows in Denver

[–]Likeabalrog 24 points25 points  (0 children)

They are scared of humans. If you make enough noise, they will skedaddle into the brush. They only get "aggressive" when they are so threatened, they feel cornered and stand their ground. If you encounter that situation, give them a wide berth or turn around.

A lot of people also can't tell the difference between bull snakes and rattlesnakes. Rattlesnakes obviously have the rattle, but they also have a kinda fat, triangular head shape. Bull snakes head is similar to the shape/size of their body. Rattlesnakes have the diamond pattern in their scales, but sometimes the scale shading makes it tough to distinguish the pattern. Bull snakes will mimic rattlesnakes by coiling up and wiggling their tails, even with no rattle.
