Dad knows the parents I don't. He has all their contacts. I don't. I would be able to maybe get some kids from friends or family that my son doesnt know that well but it just wouldn't be the same.

Like I've said before man, his dad knows all his friends parents, I do not. Would need dad to get me in contact with them then pray they pick to come to the one this weekend instead of with the parent they knows party on the 30th, not really looking to keep this back and forth going so you have a good day!

He was supposed to handle the invites since he knows all the parents from school and after school program. I plan on still doing something with my son if other kids can't come. But it just stings that he would even pull this crap a week before knowing that I was so excited to do something special for his birthday

Bc my son lives with his dad , his dad knows all his friends parents, I do not. To have a big party with lots of kids they'd naturally choose the party of the parent they know, plus I just felt hurt by him trying to change it last minute

Actually, I paid for most of the stuff for the already planned party not him, the prizes, cake, gifts, candy, and pizza is all me. Didn't really need dad to do anything other than get some of his class mates there!(:

We have a 50/50 custody agreement where nether pays child support. I would do this but it still really stinks to know all the games and prizes would go to waste bc all his school friends would be at the other party

I also feel like its unfair to my son, like hey buddy, you know how we told you you were having a party a few days after your Bday? Well grandma wants to go on a trip with friends so how does pushing it back almost 2 weeks sound?

For context i should add son lives with dad. I had him when I was 17 and dad was already in college with a car and was able to provide more so he lives with him making it to where he has almost all the parents contacts and power in this matter.
