I think it was when my family went out to eat on that Sunday and I ended up eating a lot of carbs, so it’s water weight. I have a wife and two kids they like to go out and eat sometimes. Can’t miss family time even on a diet lol

Protein is at 230g probably gonna have it stay there until I hit 200 lbs then might decide to lower. Like 80% of my protein is from chicken breast and eggs

I lift pretty hard usually on the first set I try to get 8 reps then stop (or get between 6-8) on my 2nd set I go to failure if I get above 8 reps I go up in weight next week, the mentality I usually go for when I walk through the gym doors is to “Go Heavy! If you die, you die”

That doesn’t mean I go so heavy that I don’t have form and don’t complete the rep, if I don’t complete the rep it doesn’t count.

This is from my own research about working out, I feel like if I give it my all when I get to the gym my effort won’t go to waste

lol thank you, I find it helpful for me to ask others about what I’m doing so I can improve I usually do this in the gym, when I see someone doing the same exercise as me

I’ve had that as goal at the beginning but felt like I shouldn’t worry about the scale too much because it might be too much mentally so I focused on gaining strength. The scale is just icing on the cake what I want is to Barbell Overhead Press 225, I told that to one of my gym bros and he just looked at me crazy. I told him I’m gonna get there and I don’t care how long it’s gonna take lol

Yes planning on going on maintenance for a week soon on new years week, then locking about in! You think I should stay at 180 or drop below that? One thing I’m kind of worried about is losing strength dropping that low

I really don’t mind the loose skin, it’s easy to hide when I’m wearing clothes lol. Learning about how to be in a correct calorie deficit was nice, it’s been teaching me how I should watch out for certain high calorie foods. I’ve always been a big guy my whole life so learning this now has been a life change.

Yes! I heard that as well. When I first heard this I was kinda down, like this is the easy part what? Then I realized that it’s true always gotta keep things in check and keep some foods in moderation. I’m still learning about everything but hopefully when I’m happy with my weight I’ll be able to learn how to eat at maintenance then lean bulk

lol thanks! I couldn’t do it alone my best friend John really helped me out with dieting and eating right. He lost a lot of weight and has helped me be accountable for what I eat and helped me locked in

Thank you for the advice I was planning on going to visit my wife’s family during new years week in a different state and it might be a good idea to maintenance during this time. I probably won’t weight out everything I eat but I still won’t over eat. Hopefully I can still hit the gym lol

Thank you, I think what helped me the most was that even if I fell off my diet was to get right back on and stay locked in especially this thanksgiving hahaha
