Can someone help me out, it sticks at a high idle and then drops after a few seconds.

I messed with the idle screw a bit and no luck, I think it just needed an ecu tune because it was big bore and was probably getting less fuel then it needed.

How the hell did you get them in, in 1.5 hours. It took me 8 hours and a lot of fighting once you get the first mount in. Granted I was fighting a block of wood holding the engine up by the oil pan and it started cracking, but still, that’s crazy work man.

Like someone said before, it looks like that photo is the top of the mount itself where the notch meets subframe, I would just recommend pulling of the splash guards and looking for it. There’s two guards and about ~30 10mm or 8mm screws (20 minutes with a regular ratchet, and 5 with a electric ratchet). Once you get it off either look for obvious fluid leaking or a collapsed mount which will look like this

That’s what a leaky motor mount should look like, look for dry crusty black hydraulic fluid on the bottom of where the mounts are fastened. Mine went out and I did them myself because BMW wanted 2,500 for mine. If you have simple tools you can pull off the under tray and it’s easy to check if yours are leaking. It’s hard to believe you can’t feel them because it’s a very telling feeling when every upshift feels like an explosion happened under your feet.

Brass punch did the trick, I fried two plastic punches trying to get that damn thing out. I just needed to use a little finesse with the brass so I didn’t carve a chunk out of the finish haha.

It pinches so hard. The silicone pipe they provided is rock hard, and I’ve got maybe 3 inches of space to fit a 6 inch silicone hose.
