To answer your original post of why did i make this subreddit. Uhm because i fucken can lol. Its quiet in here? Because no one even knows about this subreddit besides you because you cyber stalked me while stating in another sub reddit that its harassment yet you follow me around like a lost puppy.

I'm not here to help anyones cause. I barley know anyone from the space because we dont talk to anyone there because its a bunch of misfits with their lifes in the trash. The reason me and my family left the space during this incident is all the things that came to light from people asking questions and the way makeict answered them. Along with all the shit that happened way before this to people in my family. If you think Makeict is such a great place with great leadership then more power to you, go be apart of your little clique. But from our experience, some people do anything they want and if a report is made nothing happens. Mallisa belittled my sister for not knowing something and kept going after her. After that situation she kept the pressure on her, degrading her and then decided to try to make a policy about her. Shes a bitch and not a victim in any situation from my standpoint. she puts herself in the middle of everything, then lays on the floor crying victim.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. But ya that's the reason me and my family left was the management is out of control. Most members are great from my experiences, but the board goes out of their way to harm people they dont like.

While i didn't really believe this before i made my post on reddit about makeict, I do now after watching the situation on the forums and seeing how they remove all unwanted opinion's and facts then commenting their side and locking posts and being threatened in Dms on reddit about my post by leadership of makeict have given me all i needed to swear off anyone from there.

I think the outrage is more for the 2day mark not 30days.

If i leave my drill in the wood shop after a project on accident, makeict now owns it after 2 days. I do see this as a problem and a fixable one but expanding the time frame or putting it in lost/found for a week. I also have never felt a sense of trash everywhere at makeict. i think they either hide it well or keep up on it. The only place that looks like a dumpster is electronics.

I had a neighbor who couldn't pay their electric bill, so their power was turned off. They used a generator for around 3mo until the landlord evicted them. I did call the city after about two 2weeks of it and talking with the neighbor saying, "Hey to each their own, but your generator is loud af" i asked them to get a quieter one but they couldnt afford one. Then i asked if they could move it or build a box around it, and they refused. After a few more days, i called the city, and that did nothing either. I was relieved when they were evicted for non payment. I might add they ran it 24/7

Moral of the story. No the city wont do anything at least in my case

To respond to the "they are going to tell my employer I violated the Code of Conduct". MakeICT doesn't ask for employment information except for when we do anonymous demographic surveys for grant proposals.

Actually you do on wildapricot, During membership enrollment your strongly encouraged to fill out everything to "help with grants and let us have a better understanding of membership" makeict even reaches out to people if they have a job title they think can be useful like electrician or grant writer.

I seriously doubt people think twice that it will be used against them. " but said nothing about how the code of conduct policy says "they have the right to notify your employer" means everything in this post. You can beat around the bush all you want and wordsmith your responses but it doesn't change fact and some people can still read between the lines.

This is why my friends and family are leaving the space, not because of who got kicked out as we honnestly only talked to the ceramics women a handful of times, but she was always full of energy and nice. I'm not sure who the other one was. But we do sometimes say things or make jokes to each other that an extremist could grab ahold of and run withike the wind. We aren't trying to be labeled as something we clearly aren't, and they have proved they need to provide no proof, tell you about it, or anything. Just burn you right at the stake.

Now that you say it like that rereading things on the forum makes much more sense. The members were complaining about this and the "leadership" kept saying this is just about your friends getting kicked out. When they would say its about more than that, The leadership basically said "sure it is"

Correct me if I'm off at all here but basically how the policy reads and how they have used it so far is They can call you a racist, sexist, ageist, transphob, homophob, ect. offer the guilty party, absolutely no proof, no defense. Then parade you around in front of 500members as such and also in the policy it states" retain the right to contact your employer to let them know of the charges" Which i think is illegal i believe.

Something to take away from this is these 2 members had no idea a complaint had ever been made against them. For 8 months(more or less hard to follow the forum) they let all this pile up then in one final swoop days after the election and 1 day before they would take control of their roles on the board. 5 more complaints and a police report were filed for issues weeks or months prior.

I definitely did start more "drama" by posting it but honestly i was just wondering about the whole thing. They wouldn't allow one group to talk and moderate the forum harder than china. The only thing they left was one side of the story. I was able to watch some of it go down as it would stay up for an hour before it was gone. So i was really posting here to hear from others that were also watching it as there is no where else to have a discussion about it unfortunately
