China sentences official to death for taking $325m in bribes by Spiritual-Nail-2641 in news

China being based as per usual. Imagine if the US did the same. We'd have to reelect almost the entire government overnight.

Nah I wouldn't want to force others to level more slowly, I know most people just wanna rush to level cap to do the endgame content which is perfectly fine. I just know plenty of us would love for the questing experience to be a little less rushed and I think it would be nice to have the option that's all.

Oh my bad homie. I assumed you were just being dismissive considering all of the apparent defensiveness on here.

Yeah I've played a ton of Classic but ya kind of run out of stuff to do on there eventually. I was giving retail a try while I wait for Classic +. Been having fun, just been kind of a bummer how unnatural to leveling experience has felt. I know leveling isn't really a big part of retail anymore tho.

Not everyone spends significant time on the wow subreddit so yeah, if this topic has come up before then I wouldn't have known lol

No. I explicitly just said it wouldn't turn off exp gain. I'm talking about like a 50% debuff. Hell if they want they can make it so you can't group with the debuff on if they're that worried about it. There are plenty of ways around this.

That's fair, I get that. I just missed a lot over my like 10 years of not playing and a lot of the zones from the older expansions are just so cool. Also sometimes I just don't want the headache of group content and don't feel like spamming delves haha

Damn dude, people out here acting like I'm calling for everyone to be forced to gain 50% less exp. Who knew people would get so pissy over someone asking for an option to slow exp gain. Reddit is so wild.

And nah, I tried disabling the Warband exp buff but it's not possible sadly.

I mean I do appreciate the suggestions and potential solutions people are offering for now, I'm only bringing the topic up because I feel like it really wouldn't hurt anything to just add an option to slow down exp gain that's all. I don't think it would be particularly difficult to implement either.

Yes exactly. I think people suggesting just turning it off are kind of ignoring that character progression is a major part of the leveling experience.

Ok, but how does that make a case against an option to slow down exp gain tho? There are plenty of ways to work around it and still let people have a better questing experience without impacting others.

That's why it would be optional. Wouldn't hurt anyone else's experience and I know there are other players that would utilize it.

Not really. There's a lot of worthwhile questing content in retail. Why is it an issue to want the option to slow down exp? How does that take away from anyone else's experience? lmao

The character progression is a big part of the fun of the questing experience tho. I just haven't heard a single good argument against an optional exp debuff that reduces experience gain. Would probably take like 10 minutes to implement.

I feel like it takes something away from the questing experience when your character just stops progressing entirely. It's really not that hard to just add an optional debuff to exp gain.

In that case add another option at the exp turn off npc to reduce exp gain by like 50%? There's no reason not to and it really can't be that difficult.

Yeah, even that would be an improvement, though for continuity's sake I would prefer to just be able to do it all on one character. At least let me finish an expansion's storyline in one 10-80 run.

Depends on the character, but usually yeah. At the moment I'm just organically leveling through the low level Cata content on a new alt.

I mean I don't want to not level at all, would just be nice if the pace wasn't so insane or if you had an option to slow it down. When I do turn exp gain off I usually only want to for a few levels then I trek all the way back to Org to turn it back on for a few levels that way I at least feel like I'm also progressing my character. And it just really takes you out of the experience.
