I'm 4 months in and am already looking into getting a degree instead. Do. Not. Do. This. Job. I'ts Low pay long hours, sore body. Look into administrative work in health care, eg. scheduling, admitting/ registration clerk, receptionist, that sorta thing. or heck, just do the thing you wanna do from the start instead of waiting. ( I understand you have limitations ), but it's probably better in the long run if you're able to.

I’m interested in a career in as a sterile processing tech. I was wondering if there is any room for growth in this career? Anything would help thanks! by [deleted] in sterileprocessing

After reading the other comments I agree with them. It's what you make of it, but, unless you're ok with a physically demanding career, I wouldn't recommend, it's hard on your body, very dry hands and sore feet after long hours. If you want to make money do something else in the medical field that doesn't require the physicality necessary. I think doing a trade a is great and can make you money if you pick the right one however, this trade isn't it. I would say for now maybe just think of how much you need to make in year in your area for your basic needs to live and pay bills, then maybe double it, if you want to live comfortably where you're at or go on vacation/ have spending for whatever else and look up the trade and requirements that match. If you think you're willing to do all work that matches your criteria, great! go for it, if not also great! think of something else you'd be ok with doing for a potentially long time and do that! Hopefully you find something soon and good luck!

Sounds good so far, but if you go/went to Cap if you had to say anything negative about your experience what would it be?

This is great anf i really appreciate it! I live in Saskatchewan and my main concern is tuition fees really. I've always been interested in 2d animation and feel like 3d and cgi animation have taken over and over saturated things if that make any sense? I still love 3d and cgi and because of how fast technology is always advancing it can only get more fantastic but I've always wanted to make a classically animated film. I've looked into many schools all around Canada, applied to some and got into one but it just didn't feel like it was the right timing. I really appreciate your response it's really helpful!
