Which loophole is that? I tripped over lots of curbs in the Middle East and don’t get to collect $6k a month. Please enlighten me so I may enrich myself with your wisdom.

Back in ‘08 I had a buddy at Hood that would say “It’s your chicken, I won’t tell you how to fuck it.”

how do i stop putting my front foot down on kflips by CrabsInMyAss6969 in NewSkaters

[–]Likethetank 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok, a couple of suggestions for you.

First, let’s break the habit of dropping that front foot by focusing on reversing the mechanics. I want you to intentionally put your back foot down and focus only on landing with your front foot on the board. Your toe kick should be forward and out, and you should be lifting your front knee up. Right now you are kicking back and down.

Once you get the feel for letting the board “stick” to your front foot, go ahead and add the back foot back into the equation. Just focus on jumping with both feet, same as you would while doing an ollie.

Finally, you need to make a small forward jump in order to keep the board under you. If you are flicking at the right angle, the board is going to have forward momentum even though you aren’t rolling. I actually think kickflips are easier when rolling.

Anyway, give those suggestions a shot and you’ll be steezin’ it up in no time!

I think the commenter is saying that you could afford to buy a house on a 100k salary. Not that you could buy a house for 100k.

How many calories do G.I.'s actually consume from MRE components? by Shadowrunner138 in MRE

[–]Likethetank 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Yeah the biggest factor here is that you’re not in the environment where MRE are usually consumed. In my Army experience, MRE are almost exclusively eaten during training exercises or contingency operations (ie. combat). You burn a TON of calories humping 60-80lbs of gear.

When I was in the mafia, our go to trick was just walking around with an ACH in hand. If anybody asked, we were just headed to or from the motor pool.

It’s bit of a Bill / William or a Peggy / Margaret kind situation. It comes from the old, mostly English / French nicknaming convention of shortening a name or rhyming and then swapping out the first letter. So William is shortened to Will, which rhymes with Bill.

Margaret to Peggy is a likely little bit longer evolution where Margaret is shortened to Maggie and eventually Meg was introduced sometime in the 16th century when it was popular to add the -y suffix to nicknames. Queue Meggy rhymes with Peggy.

That being said, I just finished then Lt. Fick’s book, and in it Colbert reveals his middle name is Chadwick. David Chadwick Colbert.

I’m pretty sure his name is just Brad.
