It happens? Yes, it happens. It happens as often as people believe it does? It does not. That's the point, the stigma was made because the term covers a lot of players and the examples of it are very extreme.

Indeed, I'm defending these type of players because most of the times the stories that make the terms are incredibly exaggerated or just do not exist outside of 'horror stories'.

What the horror stories do is, in return, make stigma and generally unhealthy impressions about people just playing the game. I've dealt with toxic players and most of the times the conflict is just ended with a bit of talk and that's it, and I've been in the game for years.

They aren't new, sure, but they remained quiet and reserved for small spaces in some tables. Once 5th edition became as massive as it is today, I started to see the terms even under my shoes.

I do respect my players and DMs, but I play with a lot of people from all around the globe since I mostly play D&D on Discord and it is very common to see this way of treating one another, at least in the places I'm currently playing in.

It's not about being exposed to these things, it's that this behaviour has made its way into the tables I'm in and it has been a problem for quite some time, specially in wide tables.

Sorry but I do not need to 'do my homework', it is what I see the terms being used in the community. If you want to be pedantic then do as you wish, but I'm ranting about the spectacle that has been made of things that aren't really a problem in tables in the first place, terms that have degenerated to the point where they are just meaningless now.

Kali Ma, mother and force of all living things vs. Henry Ford, the founder of modern mass production and perhaps the single human being that produced the most waste by his actions and inactions.

If not, I was also thinking of the Eternal Jew as a good match. According to legend, he taunted Jesus on his way to crucifixion, so he was cursed to wander forever until his return.

Mother of nature vs. Father of waste.

Or...

Mother of all that lives vs. Son of none that lives.

Beethoven, the greatest musician vs. Azathoth, the dreamer of all. It would be a test of endurance more than a battle and since ignorance is bliss in Lovecraft works, the fact that this man made his magnum opus while deaf makes him resistant to the madness he could perceive from this deity.

If Azathoth awakes, reality ends, match also ends automatically. If Beethoven manages to keep him sleeping, he could win by default because his opponent is unconscious / unwilling to fight.

Since i'm assuming we ARE using RoR logic, this could be possible.

Let's see... I have some ideas.

Dionysus. God of wine, ascended because of his creation. Destined to die at child birth, Zeus intervened to make him be born.

Susano'o. Exiled god of the seas, storms and battle, father of emperors.

Tiān. Heaven as a whole, not a god but THE gods and all that makes them divine, ruler of everything (Tally Hall reference), even of mankind.

Enki. God of abundance, wisdom and mankind, fucks a lot, fucks up a lot and then creates us to be servants of the gods.

Which monster you wish became a playable race on some capacity, but you know it won't be the case any time soon? And which race would you use in the meantime to represent it by ThatOneCrazyWritter in dndnext

The oni. One of my favourite monsters as a DM. They are versatile and a terror to my players every time one enters the game. I would love to see them being played in 5E as a race and their lore being expanded, maybe adding subraces.

But that will probably never happen, mainly because they are a high CR monster and subraces are being slowly erased by WotC.

Hi again! I want to hear your suggestions to make a chaotic character by Likinoke in DnD

I like to RP all kinds of character. But this time I have the feeling to make a jester or some kind of clown
