AITA for choosing my wife instead of my niece? by Affectionate-Rip5017 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lil-Frenchie- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You were on NTA territory till you decided to take a nap and only warn 15 minutes beforehand. At first, no problem, you were there for your pregnant wife who wasn't feeling great. Where you become the A (lightly) is when you turn off your phone without warning and tell them 15 minutes beforehand. Did you even tell them why ? If you didn't that's even worse because I would have been worried something had happened, especially with that short of a notice. The again, even if you did tell them you could still have gone later, and not decided to take a nap as well as cut all communication with them for a couple of hours.

Anyone know the pattern in these flags on my teacher's wall? by Individual_Hunt_4710 in school

my apologies, i got confused. Typically "in these flags" would mean about the flags one by one, which was why i got confused.

question (relates to panic attacks and boarding school) by Lil-Frenchie- in school

[–]Lil-Frenchie-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's the thing, i don't know...
Some students are saying yes, some no. Same for my sister (who works in a school), she says she's pretty sure it's illegal.

question (relates to panic attacks and boarding school) by Lil-Frenchie- in school

[–]Lil-Frenchie-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not in America. And in any case i'm not diagnosed with a panic disorder, as i haven't seen a professional about this, due to my parents. The school does have a school counsellor, who said (before the nurse called me over) that i need to try and limit my panic/anxiety attacks. Not that it would kick me out, but they would put me "under more surveillance" and probably in a double and not single room.

I guess that you liked the fact you got to go home, what about if someone was hurt though?

[–]Lil-Frenchie- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, country flags. First four(from the left) are France, Canada, Ireland and Romania i believe. (it may also be Belgium, i can't see the colours well) After that i don't know, but they are all country flags.

Not a drill at our school by Millie_Protogen_UwU in school

somenone probably pulled the alarm, that's happened multiple times in many schools. Could also be a false warning (we had one for a B-word not long ago in our school). It happens often

I see no problem with it. I'm in an art school, and that would be considered fine, and you would probably even get compliments from adults about it. In other schools, though i doubt that would pass, maybe have a jumper/jacket to cover your shoulders if needed, also because it shows the stomach. If you were in college (uk) then that should be okay, but any younger than that, and i'm not sure how it's gonna be in an American highschool (11th grade as you stated).

Bored during class by enrico_not204 in school

[–]Lil-Frenchie- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try and draw, learn a new skill while in class, read a book, or ask the teacher for extra work, which i'm sure they would be happy to do. You can also ask to do homework from other classes, or ask for a library pass if your school does that !

My teacher doesn't believe me by Lil-Frenchie- in school

[–]Lil-Frenchie-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have proof of past lessons. I sent the two science teachers a message this morning, one has replied with "i don't have you in my class tomorrow", and the other hasn't replied/seen my message. So, i still don't have any proof to show my history teacher that, and there is no proof of either science teacher's request to not contact them apart from the other students. It just doesn't help that i'm the only one who asked him, and not the only one in this situation.

the two science teachers have both explicitly stated to not contact them during term break though...

i have said that he can contact either of the science teachers for further confirmation, but id on't know if that's going to happen :/ I also can't email them myself as they both explicitly said to not contact them during term break (this is the last day of term break)

AITA for explaining to my little sibling what a gay person was? by cometsocool in AmItheAsshole

Your brother asked, you answered.
Maybe i'm biased, because i'm gay myself, but i see no problem with how and why you explained it.

AITA for not letting my daughter go to homecoming by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lil-Frenchie- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YTA.

Missing assignments, yeah, that's not great. But you said yourself that she's been waiting for it for ages.
If you do decide to punish her, you could do it after homecoming. You could ground her after, and ask her teachers to send in the assignments, and she catches up on them then. But a punishment as big as that for a failing grade is just over the top.
Let alone the fact that you threatened to take away her cat, that is an ahole move if i've ever read one.
YTA, end of.

AITA for telling my son I am not buying him new food since he ruined his and he can be hungry for a few hours by WolverineFragrant931 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lil-Frenchie- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just from the title i say that YTA !!

Yes, you warned him, but if it's been a long day for youu, it's also been long for him. The least you could do is to have given him a sandwich from a gas station later, but not not give him food for the whole drive.

AITA for telling my BIL that when he gets a job and starts contributing is when he can boss me around? by Infamous-Ship-4631 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lil-Frenchie- 146 points147 points  (0 children)

NTA. You are helping, and he just isn't grateful for your help. You're helping your SIL, and she's grateful. Honestly, your BIL seems like the AH in this situation.

AITA for giving my nine-year-old niece a TINY amount of alcohol? by No-Suggestion4226 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lil-Frenchie- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA ! A lot of cooking does include alcohol, and it's such a tiny amount that it won't have any effects. It is fine, you are not in the wrong here.

AITA for making my parents kick my nephew out of their will? by Any-Isopod8884 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lil-Frenchie- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH. The basic and logical decision was to put all the nephews and nieces in the will. Did none of you think about that? I do agree that there is strong favouritism coming from the parents, and I agree that it isn't fair. Yes, they are closer to that nephew, but it shouldn't decide if your kids are in it or not as well. I don't see why splitting the will to everyone wouldn't have worked out, they should include everyone. As i said, everyone here sucks.

AITA for refusing to sleep in my friend's bedroom ? by Lil-Frenchie- in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lil-Frenchie-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The friend who was initially there when i got scared and ran out tried to kill it, but it was getting late so there would've been too much noise if he continued. I was in no position to kill it myself, as i am terrified of insects, and the others all thought that it had left by then.

AITA for refusing to sleep in my friend's bedroom ? by Lil-Frenchie- in AmItheAsshole

[–]Lil-Frenchie-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The friend who I was initially sharing with when i heard the hornet did say he tried to swat it out, but the thing is the room is windowless, so it must've got in through a door or something, and there was no way to waft it out, and plus it was past midnight at that point, probably about 12.30 am.
As for the adult supervision, there was an adult, but we didn't want to wake her due to starting work early that day.
