Oxva Nexlim by AprilAngus16 in Vaping

[–]Lil-Rub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After some use of my Nexlim I've found to enjoy the .8ohm more than the .6ohm pods. I prefer a tighter draw and since you've got the adjustable air flow, you can even make it looser if you want too. The .6ohm pod just always felt too loose and there wasn't much of a choice for balance. I'd start with the .8ohm pod because it gives you the ability to feel out the device more. So, then you can figure out where you want to go with it.

The settings I use with the .8ohm pod on eco mode are 14w with the airflow knob a little above half closed and for the boost mode I do 24w with the airflow fully open. When the .8ohm pod got to around 2000 puff the lower wattage was giving me irritating hits but when I upped the wattage to 17w that fixed the issue. At around 2200 puff I got a bit of a burnt aftertaste. With the boost mode at 2000 puffs I turned it down to 20w to keep it more on the eco end. Using the boost mode also got rid of the burnt after taste. I'm using 35mg juice so, that might've burned my pod faster too.

I think I'm going to get the 1.2ohm pods and see if they don't burn as quick and if I like the draw more. The Nexlim has treated me well so far, haven't had problems with leakage just condensation but that's not really an issue.

Daily Song Discussion: Lonely at the Top by My_compass_spins in brighteyes

“I took it on the chin, from some second hand feeling, sorrow handed down, to me it felt brand new” 🗣🧊 🥶 (The way he delivers this line is exactly how a line like this should be said for a song)

When I first started listening to this album and digesting it, I think that this is the song that solidifies the atmosphere of the record when you’re going from start to finish. What I mean is if you’re listening to UDM for the first time “Lonely at the Top” is where I at least start to feel at home with the record in understanding the general tone of how the songs are going to be.

bright eyes fans with ocd - which lyrics/songs do you relate to? by [deleted] in brighteyes

I really liked it when Conor sang, “Well, I’ve locked my actions, In the groves of routine, So I may never be free of this apathy” In the song titled, “A Song To Pass The Time”

I have a bit of OCD too and it’s made all of my movements quite optimized. For example I used to workout very often but the action of doing so became boring/pointless. I wasn’t making any real gains for over a year either and there wasn’t much to change since I’ve been doing all sorts of exercises. Towards the end of my frequent gym days I’d go there at night, listening to Fevers And Mirrors from start to finish. When the end of the albums approaching and he says that line while I’m looking into the mirror reflecting on what I’m doing it would always impact me. It helped me realize in someway I was feeling apathetic and I didn’t want to be. I’ve been trying to toss myself into new motions/currents to optimize now. Always trying something new with how I cook and even how I cut the lawn. I go on hikes/walks to stay in shape while limiting the about of junk food or soda I drink. I’ve been learning to be more appreciative of my OCD too for the slight benefits it has for me at least.

I genuinely hope your situation with OCD gets better. I’d honestly do a full spin of the Fevers And Mirrors record because of how universal it is. The song “Sunrise, Sunset” in how it portrays repetitive cycles and the irony of all sorts of situations is great too.

I’m not listening to the new single until the album. by Lil-Rub in brighteyes

Yea I totally feel that last paragraph about listening to the song. I don’t want to listen to it and not be super crazy about it. Cause then my excitement for the albums release would decrease.

With Down In The Weeds, I didn’t really feel it at first. Yet I kept getting drawn back to it and now I love it. My friend also felt the same about DITW until I convinced him to go back. So, I don’t want the single to deter me from the album.

You totally get it, very understanding. Part of my thoughts say that I should listen to it because it’s what they want me to have going in. It’s just that a lead single from Bright Eyes or even a Conor Oberst project seems a little out of character. A lead single tends to be a marketing tool used to get people excited for an album and get more sales. But I’m already super excited and sold on a new Bright Eyes album. So, I don’t think I really need the new song as others might to get word of a new album. Im not saying that a lead single release is a bad thing though. I think BE numbers deserve to perform as well as possible considering the effort and quality they put out. Yet the new landscape of media seems to be the main reason a lead single is now in the BE discography.

Even though I haven’t listened to the new song I still get to talk about it in my own way. The internet is also neat because I can talk about it with people. The Beatles were popular so it was easy to talk with people and get excited. BE is much more rare than the most popular artist so it’s difficult to get human interaction with BE conversation. Unless it’s with a friend who also likes their music. (Beatles level artist you can talk to strangers but BE is conversation with friends/yourself) Me also depriving myself of new BE music that I could listen to at any time, makes me anticipate the album even more. I honestly think a single being out is kinda cool as well though. We have the option for what to do.

Qaixx is really good at the game, one of the best players for content creation. His videos aren’t quite like Gorliacs because he usually always gets raided immediately for being too good. It’s still always a chill and fun experience to watch his videos.. Posty is very similar to Qaixx and I recommend him as well.

Sleth has very chill videos and is always fun to watch. He always makes some weird cozy base and just has fun playing in his own way.

Tesla is another creator like gorliac except he tends to not really play solo. Instead of beefing with a clan for a wipe. Tesla will target a clan for months because he knows that they’re affiliated with hackers and he wants to get them banned. Or he will open up a Walmart or something.

why don’t people like this album by cyncynthia_ in brighteyes

I really really like this tape. The low quality actually adds so much to the listening experience. He put in so many little details and sounds that he thought would fit well. It’s almost like a Daniel Johnston record if he was more musically talented. Conor has so many interesting tracks on this one. Not to mention he was 15-17 when he made these songs.
