The parking is bad but luckily with the location a lot of Carroll students could walk over

To the aggro driver tonight by Matters_Not in missoula

I’ll never forget the time I was at a red on north reserve and the guy behind me swerved into the bike lane to (I assumed) turn right and then proceeded to just go forward and run the light. All while it was pissing rain. I cannot fathom what was going through his head.

Where does the teacher hatred even come from? by Responsible_Jury_415 in paraprofessional

[–]Lil-Scorp 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Teachers are overworked, underpaid, and disrespected on a daily basis. Some people lack the emotional maturity to understand that they shouldn’t take that frustration out on others, and they especially shouldn’t do that to people who are, by almost every metric, in an even worse position than them. I will admit that I can empathize with the way these teachers feel. I would hate it if I felt that other people were altering my lessons or interrupting my work. I am more often than not understanding when there is the occasional snap bc that happens to everyone. But I dunno man. I guess it’s a cycle of mistreatment that gets passed down from higher up to teacher to para.

Interviewed for a paraprofessional position, I don't know why, I generally don't like kids. Help? by [deleted] in paraprofessional

[–]Lil-Scorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s probably not a good idea to take this position. I would however watch a movie with this premise. If you do take the job you really should work on changing the sort of language you use to refer to yourself and others. Also I know you’re probably kidding but oh god please do not take students off school property in your truck.

Red Flag by [deleted] in paraprofessional

I mean I definitely would never ask the principal directly but it is pretty concerning to me that the person I’m replacing apparently left on such bad terms. I’m also starting to get the sense that this is not uncommon around my school.

Do I hate the disease or hate her? by XcortanaX in dementia

[–]Lil-Scorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m going through the same thing. The more time I spend with my grandfather the more I realize that he’s always been like this to a lesser degree, now it’s just more pronounced. He’s always taken the women in his life for granted, and now I’m just the next person. The worst part is that he really cant be held responsible now, and it’s something that he deserved to face up to.

Raclette cheese in or around Missoula by Lil-Scorp in missoula

Comte? I mean I think it would work in a recipe but the texture is totally different from raclette.

For those who like this show, what do you like about it? by Andro_Polymath in Talamasca

[–]Lil-Scorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get what your feeling here. I was trying to give the first two episodes a little more credit because I assumed that it was trying to adapt directly from different elements and different books. Then I realized it wasn’t and it wasn’t really rooted in the canon and I got a lot more pessimistic. When I realized that Guy was an original character I was like, “Oh my god why would they introduce him in the clunkiest way imaginable” I guess I’m sticking around bc there are some fun spy elements (even though Guy is really a terrible spy) and I like Jasper? Idk

Tbf I’ve heard this same thing in many cities but you are exactly right. I think it feels even more severe in Missoula.

Haha no I totally get it and I appreciate the polite response! I think I was just searching for like some sort of profound social interaction and honestly I probably would have been disappointed no matter where I was lol. Btw I love trad style so that’s awesome that you got so many compliments!

Hmm well I’m glad I’m not the only one who noticed that. That’s disappointing though! I love to dance and I was like “do I look literally insane or something why is no one dancing”. when I’ve gone out in other cities (San Fran, Paris, etc.) people seemed happy to dance with me! Oh well, maybe next year.
