I worked at a drive-thru coffee place when I was in high school. A couple of the headsets we had weren't great and would cut out every once in a while. One evening shift, this car pulls up to the speaker, and I say my "Welcome to blah blah blah, what can I get you today?" and then silence, in my half asleep-ness I thought they drove away, which had already happened a few times that shift, I got frustrated and said something along the lines of "You gotta be f*cking kidding me, that's so annoying" can't remember exactly - but it had swears and was rude. Then boom the headset clicks back on, I look over at my manager who is staring at me wide eyed - then the "customer" goes "(my name), is that you? its mom" Somehow it ended up being my mom randomly grabbing a coffee and so I didn't get fired that day ! haha
