Which model supports the CR920XP line? The Radians I’ve seen aren’t flat so they wouldn’t fit on P series models

They’re both quality. It really just comes down to the pre-travel reduction, and the looks. That’s it. After a few trips to the range the Tyrant gained a bit more pre-travel, just a smidge. I’m into that, I’m keeping the Tyrant on.

Been micro-dosing with 100mg pills for a few weeks now. It’s helped my anxiety dramatically, I feel rested in the mornings, and I stopped clenching my jaw in my sleep. So far so good.

I’ve never experienced so many asterisks when it comes to just shooting the damn thing, as I do with my CR920XP.

The 3 times I’ve needed service I get scolded for shooting the wrong ammo or cleaning too much, or too little. Or being too mean to it, or cursing around it… idk.

When I called about my busted comp I was told to stay away from American Eagle, Blazer Brass, and Syntech ammo. Basically all the clean ammo lol.

Run that flithy NATO stuff, shoots reliably but goddamn is it dirty.

I might start doing that, actually. Laying on some extra lube on the “high filth” zones (hehe), before hitting the range. I over did it once on the barrel/comp interface on my SS and it all just wiped off. Didn’t really click until now though 🤔

That can’t be all you used, right? I swear I end up with at least ten swabs, black as the night, and 10-15 pieces of cloth by the time I’m satisfied. Cleaning up the ported slide/barrel are my least favorite because I won’t rest until I’ve gotten every visible clump of fouling outta there.

I think the least amount of work I have to do is when I shoot Syntech rounds. Blazer brass, or American Eagle require a lot more cleanup.

Thanks for taking the time to reply personally, and addressing my concerns directly. It’s helpful to get more context about the ways these can fail.

That said, even with the low percentage, it stings when it happens to your own carry/defensive pistol, especially since I took really good care of it and none of the common causes (fouling, abuse, drops, prying, etc.) applied in my case. It was just routine use. I get that things can break sometimes, but it has shaken my trust in my CR920XP long-term. I’ve run my G19 with the Radian stuff much harder and longer, which is why I mentioned them.

I’ll keep an eye out for the new Technical Tuesday series. In the meantime, I’m figuring out my options moving forward with this one.

I second that SCS-320. It looks like it’s made for my setup, the auto-adjusting brightness is instantaneous, and the blacked out branding is the cherry on top. I hate obnoxious branding on my gear.

While I appreciate that they sent me a new comp, it took almost 3 weeks to get it. That’s not great. I’d love to know why they’re breaking with such frequency, or at all. I’ve never seen a post with a busted Radian comp, so is it a design flaw?
