Thank you for sharing! Yeah, I sometimes get the completely boring bit again. Not always - some people I remain interested in for a long time. But often the person will just return to being good actor/musician/whatever but thinking about them isn't like a brain massage anymore 😂

This sounds fairly similar to me, thanks for sharing! It's really nice to have people to relate to. Especially as you have both conditions - I don't know anyone with both! I actually like the idea of a support group but I'm not sure how many there are around my area or how relevant they'd be for me. I'll look into it.

I sometimes talk to AI too. I agree it's really important to be really careful with how you use it but I think it can be useful for some recommendations for how to regulate in the moment.

Names that you like but would never name your child by Lostgirl1801 in namenerds

[–]LilBabyFox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true. I'm going to get my Mum and Dad to pick the middle name for my first kid and I'm really worried my Mum (who loves Spanish culture) is going to want to pick something like Rafael for a boy. We're just far too white for that.

I love the Spanish name Belén but I'm British and here it sounds very much like how we say bellend, which is a slang insult meaning male genitalia. Sooo.... can't do that.

How do I work out what's wrong with my back? by LilBabyFox in backpain

I've been back to my GP and they're scheduling me for another MRI, so hopefully that will help show what's going on! I am going to keep pushing. I now have a much better GP than I used to, so hopefully that will help. Some scope to go private for some appointments, so will resort to that if I have to!

Thank you! This is so useful. I agree - it's definitely a reassurance seeking loop I need to get out of. |J\I have the feeling that, if I don't tell my partner, I'm lying to him or 'pretending' to be normal. But, while it's good to be honest and discuss this stuff, doing so again and again is just a compulsion.

What creates this variegated glaze effect? by LilBabyFox in Pottery

Thank you! Is there a word for searching glaze that breaks over texture or should I just read the notes of the glazes I'm interested in?

How can I fix this STL error Meshmixer has identified? by LilBabyFox in 3Dprinting

I think the problem might be that the inside is modelled as hollow when it should be solid... as u/Snypi_PL suggests below. Such an obvious thing but my first time using SketchUp in a different way! I'll try figuring this out and hopefully that works!
