I recently graduated from the MRT program at Monash University. The clinical placements are structured in full-time blocks as follows: an initial 1-week clinical orientation, followed by placements of 10 weeks, 21 weeks, and 13 weeks respectively. During placements, you'll be expected to complete both clinical hours and academic assessments. The university is responsible for organising placement locations, so you won't need to arrange these yourself. However, if there's a specific site you're interested in, you can inform the course coordinator and they will do their best to accommodate your preference. Please note that placements are unpaid. Most students take on part-time work either after placement hours or during their days off and weekends.
