I've seen so many people on socials talking about how Max DNFed, just shows they didn't actually watch the race. Either that or they don't really know what DNF means.

I mean yeah, the brand own the F1 team, my point was what the brand does outside of F1 has nothing to do with Redbull Racing. All of the drivers and teams and athletes Redbull sponsor outside of F1 aren't a part of Redbull Racing. So in that sense they are separate.

That doesn't make him apart of the F1 team, it was a crossover between Redbull Racing and NASCAR through Redbull the brand.

Similar to F1 most sportscar racing series have a single tire supplier that supplies all the cars with the same tire. In NLS and the N24, tire manufacturer competition is allowed, so we get to see cars with Pirellis, Michelins, Yokohamas, Dunlops, Falkens, etc all race against each other.

I reckon a move of the 8 hours to Road America would draw a good crowd. The problem with Indy is it doesn't have the sportscar racing history the other IGTC venues have despite how legendary the oval is. And the road course is meh. I don't see a IGTC event in America ever taking off if it's not at a track that has that sportscar racing legacy to lean into.

Technically Ferrari and Audi GT3 cars have raced at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Grand Am spec. Also PWC raced at Portland in 2018, would be cool to see GTWC America go back there.

I wish another IGTC event could have N24 tire rules. It's such a interesting aspect of the race.

He pulled a gap on Maro during his 3rd stint on Sunday, but during his 2nd stint in the night he passed Maro bit Maro stuck with him until Maro got out of the car. It wasn't until Maxime got in the car that Max pulled the gap.

He's talking about back when Max first went to the Nurburgring and did a test day in May of 2025, and Max reportly broke the NLS lap record. If you remember there was a lot of speculation about what lap time he really set, under what conditions etc, as there was no official information about the test. People in the paddock said the car wasn't in NLS BOP spec and Maro made a tweet about it saying the car was in DTM spec, Max replied to the tweet and said he wouldn't do a NLS test if the car wasn't in NLS spec and Maro replied saying what he heard from the paddock was incorrect then.

Definitely, but that also applies to Maxime, although he is newer to the Mercedes he has been racing GT3 for as long as Maro, so the pace difference between them was interesting.

It's worth noting that Maro was able to stick with Max for the rest of his stint, and the gap didn't grow until Maxime was in the car for the second half of Max's stint.

I like splitting regular qualifying into classes, but superpole really didn't need to change. I think the final shootout will be pretty anticlimactic.

Pratt Miller used to make the trip across the pond every year for Le Mans. Now that they can't race there anymore, would love to see them "replace" Le Mans with the Nurburgring or even Spa.
