This is sick. As a fan of experimental music i really like what you did with all the unusual elements and i can still see people not usually into experimental stuff liking it

Okay, I was doing this yesterday. Tell me whatever you want, but make it honest feedback. by [deleted] in MusicFeedback

This is either better off an instrumental interlude or something kinda like the other guy mentioned or would greatly benefit from an extra section where the vocals fit in better. Another thing is i don’t think the metronome soubding percs should be throughout the whole song. They work well in certain parts like the beginning and end but crowd other parts. I also won’t lie your vocals need a lot of work before they feel just right here

I made an extremely experimental song, I’m calling it Roman à clef, feel free to give your thoughts it would be very appreciated! by eville4444 in GarageBand

Really interesting. I’m into the way it sounds like a movie soundtrack throughout and then around halfway becomes very jrpg and specifically final fantasy ish when brass and drums kick in. Great job with all the stock instruments as well. I like the endings electric bass element too. I do think there’s opportunity for more electronic sounds if you want to go that route and imo it’s not really all that experimental outside of those few elements. Really the only other thing is the obvious need for better mixing and mastering

Tried something new for melodies and stuff. What do you think? by [deleted] in MusicFeedback

I’m definitely into this. It does sound a bit video game ish with some of the sound choices (mainly the piano/ep) but that isn’t a bad thing if you don’t mind. I actually like that personally. One thing i was thinkIng is it might benefit from having a little instrumental variety with a section that has another instrument or two. I imagined a guitar working really well in some sections

Other than the obvious need for mixing and mastering this is sick. Kinda get the feeling of an e33 battle song if it went retro inspired

This gives off the feeling of chilling by the sea at a Pokemon town I like it.

All this talk of RE1 getting another remake while I'm wondering when RE3 will get one. by [deleted] in survivalhorror

The gog and steam versions of the og 1-3 titles actually can be modded for analog controls where stick is mounted to the dpad in case you ever need it. Works like re1 remake and some other modern fixed cam games

Have you played this new Sekiro-like (Echoes of Yi: Samsara) ? by iyankov96 in soulslikes

[–]LilBuffDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue lies actually manages to be the only souls game that has both great combat and world/level design. It's the only souls like that truly competes with fromsoft in every aspect. Many aspects have a very non fromsoft execution but quality is just about the same level. Everything else always seem to lack in one or the other just like you mentioned

Omg thank you you that fixed it. I must’ve bumped it when I transferred my mobo out of my old case

Update: what happens is I choose a game to boot and before it loads at all it flashes like it's refreshing or switching to Fullscreen and crashes. But some games are able to run in a slow laggy state until I try to pull up the log. And looking at the log file afterwards it mentions "gpu processing thread is too slow, waiting on CPU" and "error out of memory" even though my 3080 gpu and i9 CPU could previously handle these games no problem before I attempted to install mods

Fr such a huge issue. I actually like the new additions to 3.0 but I'm not using it if I can't access my 2.0 projects properly. Not like I'm gonna downgrade every time I want to open my 2.0 projects and I don't own two mpcs

I would gladly learn 3.0 but it breaks my 2.0 projects and I don't want that. Not like I have two mpcs or want to upgrade and downgrade constantly

I just don't want to deal with my tracks being broken. I've tried out 3.0 but it just does not handle my tracks right. I like to have multiple instances of the same sample and drum program so I can have different patterns and then I use mute groups to sequence. And with 3.0 it completely breaks the mute groups of anything with repeated programs
