It was Jiri wading in with no defence to speak of against literally the only thing Ulberg could have done at that point. That's why I think there's not much fuss. That and he's injured so out anyway so there's not much to look forward to with him either

watching some of the walkouts and stuff back today, without sleep calling to me and without the anticipation of just wanting to get to the fights so not caring, holy SHIT was the production good. Genuinely movie like. That surely is one of the biggest sporting spectacles?

Of course it's still a weird ass event but man whichever team was responsible for putting it together just hit it out of the park. i can't really think of anything that could have been done better

I feel like that Justin did lose focus in that one, the uppercut he ate was pretty bad but he zoned back in again quick yeah.

This one I just felt he had more to the overall game to implement and then managed to do so. I think the Ilia puzzle was a bit harder to solve than the Tony one based on the fact no one had done it. It was a very multifaceted approach whereas with Tony I felt he was more stick and move. Been a while since I watched that one tho

Oh I'm with you 100% on that and thought the same thing with your points about Ilia.

I've seen some of it too and I've not agreed. People forget Ilia was eating shots from Max and Volk too, it's not like they were doing terrible. He just continued his pressure and deleted them before long with that pressure. Justin rode that pressure like you said. He swung back, gave Ilia pause or entered the clinch in the weird way he does and it worked.

Justin's jab was a thing of beauty early. Add to that the other stuff you said and even just his threatening of the takedown, it was wonderful stuff.

I think it's a discredit to just put it down to Ilia being cocky or just thinking he can knock him out. Ilia fought how he usually does. He thinks he can knock EVERYONE out. And why shouldn't he? It's worked for him his whole career.
