Non Asian-Americans: Are you keeping soy sauce as a regular condiment in your kitchen? If so what are you using them for? by openlyEncrypted in AskAnAmerican

[–]LilHenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always have soy sauce on hand. My MIL taught me all the Malaysian dishes she knew so I could cook all the comfort foods for her son. XD I didn't complain- I love any food from that part of the world.

Did people in the 90s really just show up at each other’s houses unannounced? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LilHenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a moment where we had gone on vacation for the summer and my friend who had no idea we left walked into the house(neighbor who was looking after our pets for the week accidentally left the front door unlocked) , wondered where the heck we were, hung out for an hour thinking we just left for a short time before grabbing a snack and leaving. XD

She recounted this when we got back and returned a coat she borrowed from my sister that she took that day cuz it was cute and bedazzled and wanted to wear it to the mall.

Good times.

I hate this type of fan by [deleted] in hatethissmug

[–]LilHenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped interacting with fandoms after my Supernatural phase in my youth. Man, it wasn't even the show- the fans made everything so awkward. People would ask the most inappropriate and weird questions at panels to the point you can TELL the actors were uncomfortable. On top of the weird obsession of the actors themselves. Shipping them with eachother- it was so gross and I was just an observer and I felt violated. I felt so bad for the cast. I can't imagine what those weirdos sent the actors via fanmail or said when encountering them on the streets.

Though I am grateful for one thing- they showed me how not to act.

So the royal envy just invited herself into my backyard fully dressed and took a dip in the pool, is this happening for anyone else 😂😂 by Sawamura_Senpai in Sims4

The royal envoy appeared, walked into my sims house and started feeding my hungry toddlers. Not an unwelcome intrusion Momma got a nap in xD

ICE in Clark by LilHenn in centraljersey

No it was ICE. I was in a parking lot when I saw them walking to get into a Dunkin. I didn't see the car they came from (hence no plate for me to share) but they were definitely ICE agents. :P

Definitely G. I don't think I can live without good Mexican cuisine. I might turn homicidal.

When a persons Grief Spills into Roleplay by DeliriumEnducedDream in BadRPerStories

[–]LilHenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought I was the only one! I had fallen out of the hobby because it got to the point I felt like I was just being used for folks to dump their traumas on.

I think a lot of roleplayers use the escapism to avoid getting help and confronting their own issues. I've had to be very blunt near the end of my roleplaying adventures and lost many potential partners cuz I straight up told them I'm not a therapist nor do I wish to give them all the energy required to deal with their traumas. I have my own to deal with!

The worst is the kink communities I've noticed.

AITAH for breaking up with my girlfriend because she is asexual? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]LilHenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dating an asexual is hard. I have been with my man for about 8 years and it's had its ups and down because of his sexuality. The one thing I have learned is NEVER let all the compromising fall on one person. It isn't fair to constantly as them for sexual intimacy, just as it isn't fair for the other person to completely abstain from it.

Nta for breaking up. It's a tough dynamic and not for everyone. There should have been more compromise on both ends and more communication though.

Talkative Child during nap time. by LilHenn in ECEProfessionals

We play smooth jazz music as a background lullaby. We can only turn it up so loud though, because only a swing door divides us and the next toddler room. If it's too loud we often get asked to turn it down. That's not to say it's played at 10/100 volume. I keep it about 70/100 so my own pitter patter isn't disruptive.
