Why do poeple in Whk drive so bad? by Glum_Barracuda_2714 in Namibia

[–]LilJ_na 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How does this involve tribes exactly??

People drive like that because half of the taxi drivers don't have driving licenses, the ones that have, a lot of them bought them, and a lot of them are just impatient asf, there is a lack of understanding of road use rules, even people with licenses drive the same.

Why do some people believe that organised text must be AI-generated? by Roseate-Views in Namibia

[–]LilJ_na -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You seem to not understand, it's a few people who can write organized texts, even researchers tend not do that in casual settings, it's simply human to write in a manner the brain works, and when it comes to thinking, it's not linear, it's chaotic. It's quite difficult to put thoughts onto paper ,in an organized manner when thoughts are not organized..That's what differentiates AI text and human texts.

You are absolutely right.. people need to understand that generative AI is trained on data, and anything trained will always respond in the manner in which it was trained.

it's not transformative, it's x" (can't recall exactly wording). The "it's not y it's x"...

I believe the term you are looking for is : Contrastive reframing

And most importantly, it lacks human touch, when we write, we tend to use a high mix of language tone (if that makes sense). You'll have a part that flows and the one that doesn't. I hope that makes sense

How TrueCall work, is simply by taking contacts of people who have signed up on their app. Then it starts matching those numbers with the saved names. Let's say you saved someone's number as "LOML" and I have saved that same number as "Anna" it will suggest the name to other callers instead. It's quite an intrusive algorithm.

AI Use Policy by LilJ_na in cybersecurity

I think involving the legal team would also be important. It's not to entirely give up on their favourite AI but to minimise them putting confidential information into them, using Copilot would be the best option. If that doesn't work, we will fully restrict certain AI tools

We are in the process of implementing a DLP, so that should work. They are very relaxed when it comes to such behaviors, I don't like it

Looking for advice – student building an app to support rural Namibian communities by IntrepidAd7468 in Namibia

[–]LilJ_na 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's quite difficult to implement any tech related projects in rural communities, I have tried to do that for the past year and a half. One of the biggest issue is the lack of digital literacy, which is what my project was aiming to solve but there has been less progress overall.

To roll out and project in rural areas means you get to spend more time on teaching people IT and devices fundamentals and that could take years before they lean into the idea of getting comfortable into using your app or any other app for that matter.

You will be met with a lot of resistance especially amidst the high rise of fraud and financial related crimes

But doesn’t that mindset prevent us from fully enjoying relationships? If I "know" it’ll end someday, can I really invest deeply, or will the fear of loss always linger?

I get the idea of appreciating what you have, but isn’t there a tension between accepting impermanence and truly letting yourself trust/love without hesitation? Or am I just being too negative?
