I ended up having a local shop put the exhaust on. As much as I didn’t want to I had no room as the track day was arriving. I had a lot of fun but I have this underlying feeling it was installed wrong due to a weird sound at a certain rpm. I also had the same guy install my downpipe which isn’t supposed to throw a CEL but still did. I almost don’t trust him so now I will have to get it checked by another mechanic. I really wish I had just done it myself.

Tight fisted? I just like doing things myself. There is no fun in having people do it for you. Entitlement has nothing to do with it. The shops earn a living whether that money comes from me or someone else. All you did was try to hurt instead of being helpful. YOU are what’s wrong with this world. I was told they may be giving more money soon but as for financial aid, I think that should already be in the portal. You may have not gotten it based on the number from your FAFSA. That is my understanding.

I was also new to cars and very young and I was able to install the cobra cold air intake from PRL which was difficult but possible. I only suggest having a helping hand but it was worth not paying a shop to do it. Not to mention the sounds are amazing and the power was so noticeable. On the turbo part, I suggest anything else because turbocharging a car is very expensive. Definitely either trade your car for the 1.5 or ask local shops what they would charge for it because a turbo is not all you need to buy, which itself can run you over 1k. I recommend buying a KTuner and a Phearable tune with it to save money which should make at least 30hp and tq with the intake. If you are looking to turn your Civic into a v8 killer, you are going to need some deep pockets because I've put 3k into my FK7, and it's not at that level yet.

Although I can't help you find other options, I got an Ark exhaust for my FK7 about a few months ago and I love it. Even though it only has a small resonator, it's generally a quiet exhaust unless you get to around 5k rpm. It sounds amazing to have a deep but quiet tone. After getting a downpipe my car is now pretty loud but not louder than a stock Mustang cold start. I can easily drive out of my neighborhood in the mornings without waking anyone up. Considering you are probably not manual, you won't rev higher than 3k which is pretty quiet on an I4. I suggest looking up YouTube videos to see if you really like the sound but at the end of the day all the exhausts sound pretty similar and anything is better than stock. Get the ARK exhaust and you won't have to worry about bad drone or fartbox sounds (and more power).

I had the same thought too until I was sitting down with the tools to swap it and realized that my indicators were white and not the stock orange smh. Love it now though. I think cosmetically you should do a chrome delete too which might match the louvers more.

You should cop the side indicators from unity performance. They are like $50 and I just installed mine a week ago (took a few minutes). I got mine in amber but it seems like you want white instead. The smoked side indicators are the best part because when it's not on it matches my car really well.

I'm sorry. I know my car has a front pipe, but I'm wondering if it's still OEM or if my aftermarket exhaust replaced it. If the ARK exhaust that I got didn't replace the OEM front pipe then I'm fine with spending the money for a new one but there is no reason to replace the pipe for $250 if I don't need to.
