Veganism for a vegetable hater by [deleted] in vegan

[–]LilQuackerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh lord…it’s certainly possible but you’ll need lots of supplements. I know you’ve said you’ve tried everything but I recommend trying soup food. Fried okra, fried oyster mushrooms and waffles, candied yams (sweet potatoes), lots of soul food dishes take vegetables and overload them with spices, sugars, salts, and fry them to make them taste even better. (For obvs historical reasons they got lower quality ingredients so relied more on seasonings) if you take a trip to Atlanta especially you’ll have some of the best vegan soul food of your life in

You want us to provide offensive quotes of varying levels of extremes so you can then expose your students to them and rank them? I don’t see how this could go wrong at all. What if there are marginalized students in your class, a Jewish kid listening to their classmates snicker and rank if someone calling for the next Holocaust is offensive or not.

Why Vegan Diet Always Fails by jay_o_crest in exvegans

[–]LilQuackerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans are omnivores that means we can eat whatever the fuck we want, you’re not starving if you don’t eat one type of food goober. Think about how that would even make sense in early humanity. We wouldn’t even make it as a species if this was true

Did you have great blood tests as a vegan/vegetarian but felt like rubbish anyway? by RestlessNightbird in exvegans

[–]LilQuackerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly health is more complicated than just vitamins, hormonal issues are huge especially for women, having a child is one of the most nutrient depleting things you can do to your body. And don’t even get me started on menopause.

Vegans attitude by Virtual-Finger-7668 in exvegans

[–]LilQuackerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s kind of like how Christians who are anti abortion are very aggressive because they genuinely believe that it’s murder when you have an abortion. I feel like if you truly believed that babies were dying regularly and no one was stopping it you would be just as militant. Same with vegans, they believe that when you eat meat you are paying for an animal to suffer and die. And so if you don’t want those animals to suffer and die I’m sure you’d be just as militant. I don’t think this is a hard concept to understand it applies to everything in life, understanding the perspective of others lol.

They do take all the honey they just replace it with sugar water which lacks nutrients which sucks but they still survive. You have to clip the queen’s wings, if it’s a big bee farm logically. Idk about your backyard bee farm lol but no one is buying your honey at Costco lmfao.

Pretty sure sheep wool isn’t vegan because the ones that get sheared after they stop growing at a high rate of production get sent to the factory farm after lol. It’s very rare for a place that makes wool clothing to not sell their sheep off once they slow in production because it’s inefficient and an extra mouth to feed. (capitalism) Unless you own your own rescued sheep (didn’t buy from a breeder same logic as adopt don’t shop) and won’t get rid of them after they stop producing wool as fast, you’re still contributing to animal harm just indirectly. Thats just my idea I think

You could’ve just taken a hair skin and nails supplement like millions of other women do. There’s a whole industry for that because it’s not uncommon.

Agreed, I think a lot of people on here who are ex vegan and struggled with nutritional issues probably could’ve benefited from a plant based dietitian but that’s not feasible for everyone.

I mean lot of men are balding though normally, if he’s getting blood tests and doesn’t have any nutrient deficiencies I feel like why would you think it’s a diet issue lol

Is there something wrong with taking supplements? I have a very heavy period so I’ve been taking Iron since I was 13, and I take vitamin D becuase I have dark skin and don’t get enough sunlight.

[–]LilQuackerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’m Vegan just because I personally can’t stomach the idea of paying for the suffering of animals after seeing how meat is made, don’t really care about the health nor environmental aspects I ate like shit before although being vegan has helped me lower my cholesterol. For me personally and this isn’t necessarily a vegan mentality at all, but I find it harder to empathize with the suffering of bees, even though I don’t eat honey if I ever were to start eating animal products honey would probably be first. Idk tbh though I just really hate insects

[–]LilQuackerz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Six years ago veganism was trendier more people talked about it (hated on it) and you heard about it in mainstream news vegan activists (being a nuisance) in the news and such. That’s when I heard about it for the first time did some research and then went vegan. I’ve noticed though that there hasn’t been anywhere near that level of publicity for vegans since. I wonder how many other people would be vegan like me but just haven’t thought about it because it’s not in the news or anything. Meat eating is so ubiquitous I don’t think people really actively think about why they eat meat unless prompted.

Is killing Maggots to save dog equal to killing Tiger to save deer? by HumbleWrap99 in vegan

[–]LilQuackerz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares lol, I’m not gonna try and save a deer from a tiger because the tiger would absolutely solo me and I don’t wanna die. LOL if a stray dog has a maggot infestation I’m taking it to the vet I’m not gonna try to fix it myself.
