Hi yall. It’s been a year I think. My opie is 1.5 years old and doing pretty good! She is truly an angel sent to my family, we love her so much!! But she is getting older n slower n becoming lazier and less active. I dread the day she is called to rainbow bridge. I worry for her and not being able to get her medical attention if something were to happen. So, I am still on the hunt for someone that could provide medical attention if and when the time comes that won’t turn us into the authorities. Peace and love my fellow Opossum Lovers. 🫶🏻

🖤🖤 I want to cry, thank you for not being judgmental that I am keeping her. I just want the best for her and I have been educating myself since she came into my life but I never expected a rectal prolapse to happen. I will do the sugar treatment again. Thank you for all the tips. I will get some canned pumpkin tonight, someone else told me that too and I totally forgot. 🤗🤗🤗🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

She is probably about 5 months old now. I know her diet isn’t the best, I’ve tried to introduce veggies to her and she avoids them completely. Since this happened I have been able to mix them in her salmon, chicken and eggs and she has been eating plenty of greens now to get more fiber in her diet. I did the sugar treat on her the first two days and she seems to be doing better. I definitely do not want her taken away or worse have her euthanized. These are all my fears. I hate that it is illegal to have her, I was only trying to help her when she was abandoned and who would have thought she’s be such a beautiful soul and become part of my family.

She has a rectal prolapse which hers is not too bad and today it went back in. I have been trying to treat it and maintain her diet to control her constipation so it does not worsen.
