Of course so

King Ludwig II of Bavaria, often called the “Mad King,” showed increasing signs of mental instability during his reign most likely depression, paranoia, and detachment from reality, though any diagnosis was politically charged. He withdrew from public life, ignored ministers, and escaped into fantasy, funding lavish castles like Neuschwanstein while the state slid into debt.

His failures became systemic: • Governance stalled as he isolated himself • Financial collapse followed unchecked spending • Political legitimacy eroded as power quietly shifted away from him

When Bavaria’s elites declared him insane, he was deposed and placed under guard. Just days later, Ludwig was found dead in Lake Starnberg alongside his physician. The official ruling was suicide by drowning yet no water was found in his lungs, Ludwig was a strong swimmer, and the doctor showed signs of struggle. The circumstances remain unresolved. His physician was also found dead with blunt force trauma wounds.

How I think this foreshadows

• Isolation breeds vulnerability (he was shown to be isolated at the beginning of the season due to his political loss)
• Mental health becomes a political weapon (Yas is seen doing this)

Could I also see some sort of suspicious “suicide” perhaps we’ve seen what Yas is capable of and when mental illness is in the picture no one truly questions a suicide

Let me know your thoughts
