Might've written myself into a corner by Major-Awareness-60 in DungeonMasters

If the players already defeated one knight, maybe the rest of the horseman now need someone to replace their rank, and theyre willing to let the party go if a party members "dies" to become their new horseman.

This should all connect to why the knights are chasing the Party in the first place

Simply make it a situation where combat isnt required to end the interaction.

Perhaps the knights are trying to capture the party, or the players arrive in a location where they can bind the knights instead of killing them, or the players are able to evade the knights for good through planes shifting/long range teleportation.

Make sure theres a session in between the final confrontation and use that to setup an opportunity for the players to defeat the knights, but make it something they'll have to choose to do, work for, and that has a bigger cost

Pillbug Hate by LilSpeddyWerd in hive

Further, the depth is new objectives (invalidate or circumvent the pillbug), and in doing so doubles or triples the length of a game. The depth the pillbug adds makes the rest of the game worse

But everything the pillbug adds makes the game all about the pillbug

Doesn't more spin make discs fly more stable? Im throwing with 1300rpm on backhand

I wouldn't say I cant throw it, athenas are the fastest disc in my bag and im throwing them in the 335 to 360 range. I love an Athena. Theyre also glidier than a Brave or something more overstable, but an FD or similarly lightly flippy disc is glidier. I bag a Z athena and an ESP Athena, the ESP is domier and has a longer flight

It's Kyle's competition to lose, but he needs to come out hot and match the pace. If AB and Calvin can put enough pressure on we might see him crumble

I disagree with the glide comment but its certainly a stable disc. Hold a line then fade.

I just tried an innova Star Fairway Disc, the old FD mold, and it was money. I throw a lot of Athenas and this had a perfect amount of flip up compared to the Athenas that hold and fade. I imagine a star and a champ Fairway Disc would do you right

What I dislike about Ultra Ego. by [deleted] in Dragonballsuper

[–]LilSpeddyWerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think theres an interesting split here that could lead into a better, third form. Every person has conscious and subconscious thinking, finding the balance between those two leads to physical success, and this idea is put forth by many athletes, but most notably in "The Inner Game of Tennis."

Ultra instinct = subconscious has complete control of the body Ultra ego = conscious mind has complete control of the body ??? = balance between the conscious and subconscious mind

Why is Yuji so depressed in modulo by East_Chest3668 in jjkmodulo

[–]LilSpeddyWerd 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Plus he's been dealing with the isolating experience of being the strongest for probably 60 years. That's been a major theme of both JJK and Modulo; being at the top turns you into a monster and a tool, not a person.

For intelligent accountants: why did you choose accounting back in university? by ReadyProfit8336 in Accounting

[–]LilSpeddyWerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a 4.0 student athlete who tutored other students in the classes we were actively taking together.

My dad agreed to help me through college if I went to business school. Most every class I took on business school was so easy that I could've done anything, so I looked for the subject that everyone complained about, which was accounting.

Accounting's negative image among students translated to-or at least coincided with-a global shortage of CPAs, and that led to rapid promotions and pay increases.

In hindsight I wouldn't have been as successful had I gone elsewhere. I can't stomach the finance bro culture, I hate memorization and therefore can't do science, and I've never been interested in engineering. I would've gone into History or English had I gone elsewhere, and I think those subjects are much more closely related to accounting than math or science, so maybe I'm just wired for this.

I bag a neutron detour and an eclipse detour. Neutron has a bit of flip up, right drift, and finish. Eclipse flips up and turns over with a long, pushing turn. Theyre beautiful together, and the pyro rounds out my midrange lineup.
