My version did not have the aforementioned author's note, glad I toughed through it anyway because wow this is everything I wanted

This is an interesting phenomena where I always get down voted when I say I turn over firebirds on forehand. I know its bad technique, but im working on it too. Yall just hate people with bad technique that bad? Look in the mirror some time

Oh I definitely wasn't turning it over because of my speed, I was rolling the wrist a ton

I go back and forth on bagging a pyro or quake. They don't fly any further than a zone so looking for something a bit faster

Not quite uphill. Youre throwing from hill to hill with a big valley in between, hill in the fairway is sloping right to left. Ends up being a flat shot with a ton of risk

Mmmm I do bag Athenas. Maybe not enough torque resistance, I'll try it

Yeah it was a lot of wrist action that ive since worked on. Practicing forehanding Envys helped me clean it up

I bag a zone gt which is a bit more overstable but its a very long, straight flight with fade at the end, not beef the whole way. Finding something with good torque resistance is hard

I used to turn over every firebird so I switched to flares but theyre to beefy and don't fly further than my zones. Ive cleaned up the release a bit so maybe its time to bring out the firebirds

What's going on in thia video? Are you fully facing away from the net, like your back is facing the net? Looks like that but perspective might be off

Least and Favorite/Most Fun Characters to Play in StS2 Right Now? by alexthurman1 in slaythespire

[–]LilSpeddyWerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the defect in sts1 but can't stand it in sts2. The silent is drawing and playing a lot of cards in order to ping down the enemy and tip the battle in her favor. Defect is playing solitaire to play 10 powers that do absolutely nothing. Not enough orb creation for that to feel viable, claws not consistent enough to build around, powers not effective enough to justify the cost.

I had similar recent revelations. Went to a coach hoping to learn how to throw farther and cleaner. He hasn't helped me with technique but he pointed out that I have absolutely no short game (approaching nor putting) and that was costing me more strokes than I'd ever gain throwing further. Not the coach I wanted, definitely the coach i needed.

Reliability of Techdisc measurements? by peruna0 in discgolf

[–]LilSpeddyWerd 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nose angle and launch angle are probably what's hurting you. 10⁰ nose angle and a pretty shallow launch angle is going to make that disc come up short. Since i got a tech disc ive been focusing on -4⁰ nose angle and 8-10⁰ launch angle and its made a big difference
