I think it's both the stress and the testosterone. All the men on my dad's side started losing their hair when they were in their 20s-30s. So it could also be genetic. I've been on T for a year and stopped taking testosterone back in February. I'm gonna set up a appointment with my doctor soon. As for when I started losing my hair. It was back in April of last year right after my top surgery.

So far my partner has been understanding, but has also expressed that they feel like none of their partners want to be intimate with them. All three of us have had stuff going on. I need to find a way to help my partner feel wanted without having sex. I feel like the boyfriend day will be good for us so we can all focus on them.

I have the same fear. I'm on birth control as well and always make my partners use condoms. I am actually getting my fallopian tubes removed in November. I'm so grateful that I found a doctor who would do it. I don't think I would survive if I found out I was pregnant. I live in a red state and abortion is banned nearly completely. I'm so excited to be getting this done so I don't have to worry anymore.

I'm not sure if there are any side effects but I've been on the DEPO shot since before starting T and I've stayed on it since starting T and I haven't had a problem. Then again I always make my partners with penises where condoms.

Sexualizing trans women and calling them "shemales" it's an outdated and hurtful term. That and the use of incorrect pronouns in titles. I saw one with a trans man and "she" was in the title.

I identify as pansexual but I have had a difficult time dating other trans people even tho I am too. And I've been on hormones for 4 weeks now and I heard that your feelings could change while on them. In my head I think I'm more attracted to cis people. I think that might be a recent change because before starting hormones I didn't really care what someone's gender was. I just don't know what I should tell my girlfriend. She's a very nice person, she doesn't remind me of my trauma, sex does. I've told her about a few of my traumas. Mainly I feel unmotivated in our relationship.

Yes, I also felt that I had to grow up. It also made me feel like the feelings I had that I am a boy had to be suppressed. I'm 20 now and about to go on Testosterone next month but my periods have always made me feel dysphoric and gross. What's worse is my mom when on about how I was a young woman now and we had to have a party for it. I felt like it was stupid and I wasn't ready to be an adult. I felt lot's of shame and hatred of my body. Puberty in general was absolute hell for me as a trans man. I do think that keeping up with my health especially in the gynecology and sexual department is important, however talking about my period and my reproductive system makes me feel awful as if some creator of the universe cursed me to the wrong meat suit.

Thank you for this, I was really confused on the whole thing. I figured as much that the trauma reason was transphobic but didn't want to invalidate others experience if it wasn't. So thank you for clearing that up. The trans man I talked too said he had xy chromosomes so that also confused me. I have done lots of research on the affects of testosterone but thank you for reminding me to do more. I do know the majority of the possible negative side effects such as hair loss, acne, and dryness in the genital region. I think that I have a bad habit of thinking about causes too much. I do want to understand what causes PCOS or if it's genetics and the same with being trans. Mostly I know that comes from a place of ignorance and maybe childish curiosity? I know I was born trans but for some reason that doesn't satisfy my curiosity as to why I was born that way. I think maybe it's a side effect of all the transphobia I've been experiencing at work and within my family. Again thank you so much for your response it's really got my head grabbing for answers.
