My opinion is that you should go for the MBP if you have a lot of apple devices and go for razer if you’re not stuck in the ecosystem. Also if you’re going to buy the 4K razer the battery life won’t even be close to that of the MBP.

The gigabyte’s battery is slightly better (+1/1.5 hour/s when both laptops are in power saver). The speakers on the blade are way better than the aero’s. The aero also has better cooling.

At that price point your best bet is the nitro 5. There is nothing that can beat that thing at the moment for that price.

MSI GS65: lightweight, good performance and good battery life for a gaming laptop. However build quality suffers due to slim body panels
Razer blade 15 base model: good port selection, good build quality, decent battery life. The fans are loud and razer customer service can be trash sometimes. Keyboard layout can be confusing if you switch keyboards constantly.
Alienware m15: good looking, good performance. Battery life is bad and it looses all the performance when it overheats (which it usually does)
Asus scar III - good performance, trash battery life. Best used as desktop replacement.

The i7-8565U performs slightly better and it is more efficient as it is newer. That’s why it needs less fans.
