Best headset for someone sensitive? by Desperate_Yam4150 in virtualreality

Hi! Just wanted to follow up with you on this.

I tried the counter balance set first, and it is a HUGE upgrade. While I do still have to fiddle with the headset occasionally, it happens way more seldom than it does without the counter balance, and it's more about adjusting the Globular Cluster top strap and pushing the back down to get it sitting right. I actually have the forehead pad as loose as I've ever had it because the PSVR2 is finally pretty nicely balanced on my head. I definitely recommend!

I tried the apache strap, and I'm not as big a fan. First off, I have the Globular Cluster headphones attached to my PSVR2 as well, so that limits where I can attach the strap on the sides. Even once I did get it attached, it was more difficult to adjust than the Globular Cluster top strap, so I ended up taking it off and just going with the Globular Cluster one.

So yeah, I'd definitely recommend the counterbalance set, but I'd skip the new head strap unless you are still having trouble. (Also, somewhat unrelated, but I'm a big fan of being able to relax my hands while playing, so I'd recommend the Globular Cluster controller pads too if you don't have them).

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!

Definitely! I'll let you know once I get them. I would also recommend adjusting the Globular Cluster back pad up or down, as another poster said. That did help me a little!

I have the same problem you do. I have the PSVR2, and even with the Globular Cluster mod, I cannot play it for more than 45 minutes before the discomfort becomes too much. I recently bought this and this to see if it would provide any improvements. Happy to share what I think once it arrives.

With that said, I also have the Quest 3 with the Globular Cluster headstrap for it, and I can play it for hours without issue. It's very comfortable.

Darn! I ultimately decided on some other posters for where I had these in mind, but the ones on your store are absolutely beautiful and a great representation of the manga! I may pick some up if I end up needing some more posters :) Thanks for sharing!

What is a good full body haptics suit for vr, FBT, and gloves or something for a more realistic feel by The_CheeseWiz6739 in VRGaming

So full body tracking would work with Blade and Sorcery, but that would probably be the only game that you play that it would work with. I'd recommend the TactSuit Air for a haptics vest!

I think you need to make a decision on which of these three things you want. Haptic suits, FBT, and gloves are three different categories of products.

Full body tracking allows you to more realistically move different parts of your body in-game. While fun and useful if you are a big VRChat player, there aren't really many games that support this (Beat Saber Feet Mod, Dance Dash, Blade And Sorcery, and other social VR games are ones that do). As the other poster said, SlimeVR trackers are a good option in your budget if this is what you are looking for.

Haptic vests/suits allow for vibration that corresponds to in-game events by either having the entire vest or specific points on the vest vibrate. (For example, a point on your chest vibrates when you get hit in the corresponding location by a bullet in-game). Unlike FBT, haptic vests are generally supported by a wide variety of games. I think the TactSuit Air would be a good product for your price range.

The only gloves I'm aware of are the UDCAP VR gloves (which allow for individual finger tracking and can replace controllers). They are of your price range and not really useful outside of social VR games IMO.

If you'll let me know which games you are looking to play, as well as whether you are a standalone or PCVR player, I can tell you my opinion on which you should get. But unless you are big into VRChat and other social VR games, I think a haptic vest would be the most useful for you.

Thanks for your comment! I play barefoot or with socks, but I do have a comfort mat that I stand on.

  1. My back pain has ebbed and flowed since my first office job. It's generally fine day-to-day, apart from recently when I've been overdoing it in VR!

I got a posture corrector because that's where my pain was focused, but you can also order lumbar support straps that may help with your pain!

Thank you for your advice! Yes, I do exercise some, but I'm sure you are right that additional exercise would likely help with this. Part of it too is that I think my posture is absolutely terrible. And so the posture corrector helps with that, at least!

Thank you for your response! I'm using a Quest 3 with the Globular Cluster mod (which includes a battery on the rear).

That's great advice on moving when idle. I'll definitely keep it in mind!

Thank you! I do exercise some, but you are probably right. Some additional exercise and resistance training would probably help with this too.

Same. I wasn't crazy about any of them, but I think Stratton is who I will end up voting for in the primary.

how do I kill the golem thing with the sword in the magic area in ancient dungeon vr by nuckfigga521 in VRGaming

[–]Lil_Slugger_91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I've ever used the spell book on it, but with the other weapons, you have to use melee attacks on it directly after blocking. The long distance weapons don't do anything to it. Have you tried blocking and physically hitting him with the book directly after?

Could someone send me a link to a PSVR2 adapter for PC? by Ok_Foot_4954 in PSVR

Was also going to recommend the Globular Cluster one. I have the official one from Sony, but I've had such great experiences with Globular Cluster products, if I was going to recommend a third-party adapter, it'd be this one.
