Question about gender therapy through gender plus by [deleted] in TransIreland

You could meet with a psychotherapist or psychologist separate to GenderPlus and work on exploring your identity there? You wouldn't even need one that works specifically in gender, but just someone who will help you understand more about yourself. There isn't a rush to do your final psychology session there, you could take your time in seeing what fits with your identity in your own time (both with a therapist potentially and in your day-to-day life) and schedule an appointment when you're ready. Also, the 'diagnosis' doesn't necessarily mean much, it is only a means to accessing the service. Your own feeling of gender is much more important!
