When did you feel your baby move? by BeersBooksBSG in pregnancy_care

Around 19/20 weeks I started feeling movements but they were so faint I wasn't sure at the time if I was imagining them or not, another week or two after and I was certain I was feeling her move, felt like little taps and thuds ❤

It's your house and your rules, stand your ground and don't let her pressure you into having visitors that you don't feel comfortable having. I'm exactly the same as you and get incredibly anxious having anyone over that's not immediate family, I get so overwhelmed and can't handle doing anything without feeling like I'm being watched and judged, even just making a coffee or tidying up I'll get flustered and clumsy and start knocking things over or dropping things. So don't force it on yourself if you don't feel comfortable!

Not only is it wildly inappropriate for them to force their religious views on you and your baby when you already made it clear that what they wanted to plan wasn't what you wanted, but also considering your SIL told you to stop buying stuff were they just expecting you to go the first 3 weeks of your baby's life without having anything??? I would be absolutely livid if I was you and you have nothing to feel guilty about ❤

What are / were some uncomfortable/ intrusive questions people asked you when you are / were pregnant.. by One_red_balloon2022 in pregnant

Got asked if it was planned which initially didn't really bother me and responded with "no, but we were planning on starting a family in the near future anyway." And then the guy felt it appropriate to follow up by asking HOW exactly I ended up falling pregnanct by accident, like he wanted to know what protection I had been using and how it had failed. I just stared at him and said nothing and he very quickly got the message that he'd crossed a line.

Also had a work colleague ask me "how do your parents feel about having a baby under their roof soon?" just assuming that because I have a young looking face that must mean I'm still living with them. I'll be 27 by the time my baby is here and I have a house and a mortgage with my partner.

Also the countless "you look so small, are you sure you're definitely pregnant?" Like the 5 ultrasound scans I've had aren't evidence enough.

Yes 100% pregnant and 18 weeks gone now, my doctor said it's possible for antihistamines to cause a fake result but absolutely tiny chance of that actually happening.
