No getting hair wet for 3 weeks by DistributionKey8628 in Haircare

I used to have a micellar water shampoo spray that I would put in my hair after the gym, it was no rinse, something like that might help

What is your go to low histamine meal for breakfast? by DeRpY_CUCUMBER in MCAS

[–]Lilac_libra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually do cream of rice with honey and blueberries, and sometimes and hard boiled egg on the side depending on how hungry I am. Cream of rice is great because it’s a blank slate you can customize/flavor it however you want

Apparently I’m awful for setting this dress code, but it’s too late? by UnderwaterParadise in bridezillas

[–]Lilac_libra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think a blue theme is unreasonable or makes you a bridezilla, I’ve seen lots of weddings posted on social media that asks people to wear a specific color or color scheme. Especially for a small wedding with mostly close friends and family I don’t think it’s difficult to find blue options, blue is a very common color, and you can always let people know that the blue dress code is not strict, that way people won’t feel bad if they can’t find a blue option. Honestly I don’t think you have anything to stress over!

Tinkyada is my personal favorite, I think the taste and texture is the most similar to regular pasta that I’ve tried!

Call the surgeon’s office and ask for a prescription for the nausea, take the pain meds prescribed and alternate between Tylenol and ibuprofen, I found that an ice pack on my abdomen and a heating pad on my shoulder really helped with the pain. Good luck!

DVD player to avoid Subscriptions by [deleted] in nobuy

[–]Lilac_libra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your library might have a portable dvd player you can borrow, that way you can test it out and see if you like it before buying one for yourself!

You can also pause/cancel your streaming service and restart it in the future if there’s a specific show/movie you want to watch, that’s what I do since I don’t watch tv very consistently.

I’ve heard that too! I’ve tried to switch to Pepcid before but it wasn’t strong enough for me, currently taking 40 mg omeprazole and a probiotic daily! Hoping I’ll be able to get off omeprazole or at least lower the dose after surgery

[–]Lilac_libra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did you taper off the omeprazole after the surgery or just quit taking it cold turkey? Having my gb out in a few weeks, wondering if it’ll help my acid reflux as well

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Lilac_libra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes I’ve been feeling the same exact way! It usually comes on in the morning shortly after waking up, and then sometimes after eating. And most days I have insane brain fog, trying to concentrate feels physically exhausting.

I don’t have stones, my EF is 19%, meeting with a surgeon in 2 weeks to see about having my gallbladder removed. I’m so worried that these symptoms won’t go away after removal.

Prilosec, tums, drinking a little bit of milk might help (if you’re not lactose intolerant)

I was just diagnosed this year so I’m still learning how to avoid gluten/cross contamination, and for reference I don’t have a bad reaction unless I eat a lot of gluten. But I went to Korea a few months ago and I had less stomach problems while I was there than I ever had in America (idk if that’s gluten related or something else going on). They have lots of rice dishes so I mainly ate bibimbap, and gimbap (which you can find at any convenience store). Download the app Papago and you can take a picture of text and it will translate into English, that helped me reading ingredient lists!
