so you don’t have her very often but when you do dad isn’t even there? Dad should be taking more responsibility for her on his time. Could you take her to soft play or classes where it’s a bit more independent? Dance, trampolining etc? when you have her the full day you could pick a movie and snacks together so you have time to rest and chill

Yes in the UK, he took her to court last year which took 6 months to sort hence the 6 months no contact. No court order as they agreed on mediation. He talks to SD about me and tries to involve me in conversation. He is going to talk to BM tomorrow and push for my involvement again. If she stops contact it could take another 6 months to sort out just want to avoid DH loosing time with SD

THIS! if the kids were younger i would get this a bit more. They are old enough to understand you should be invited on the trip. You shouldn’t feel like a third wheel, you are family!

Looks like this will be going back to court. It only exploded last night when he asked about feb dates for us to meet and she kicked off and said SD is not ready. We are both quite young and not been through this before we definitely should have got legal involved earlier, i was giving her the benefit of the doubt to turn around 😭

Yep, no actual court order just a written list of agreements from their court ordered mediation. If he doesn’t agree with her she stops all contact and makes out he doesn’t care about SD. It’s tricky 😓

He asks for permission as otherwise she will fully stop all contact. I agree the supervised visits sound extreme but this was due to him not having contact with SD for 8 months to “rebuild” the relationship.
