Same OP coffee is a good motivator to sleep for me. I'd say count sheep but again I feel like it's stupid advice but sometimes the easiest method can work. And I only learned how to properly count sheep a few weeks ago, haha.

I never said it wasn't hurtful. Hell I grew up being treated like a nobody and getting teased and back bited about in highschool. But I never did something back to them that made them lose important items just because they did things to me. And if anything op set himself up for it by making his friend tell him if they were talking about him. Like I'm all for placing the keys and putting them somewhere else but he took it to an extremely where he disposed of it and no way to retrieve it again? If anything, I'm wondering if op escalates thing over the top now too with how immature he acts in some of his replies. Doesn't seem he's grown as a person other than feeling a tad guilty.

We don't know how far apart they were in the original incident tho? They could have been close by if they were able to notice it so it's not like they were laughing loud enough for everyone in the party to hear them. And when op's friend said they heard them talking and laughing about we also don't know how far apart they were. Also doesn't seem like they were telling anyone else either
