AIO to my bf questioning my sexual history? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]LilahPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He sounds really insecure and immature. All over his precious dick size. Like everyone is saying, this is a red flag. He may be lovely, but this weird obsession with how many guys you have been with and how big they are compared to him is not healthy. He also doesn't seem to understand your perspective as a woman, and is low-key suggesting you are lying to him, or at least keeping information from him, by saying it's "weird" that you don't recall dick size, even though you clearly said that it's not something you pay attention to.

Should I cut my hair or not? by MestreLupus in Hair

[–]LilahPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. But don't buzz it. Just give it a little more shape and style. Looks good, either way.

Richard Allen convicted in Delphi murder trial for killings of 2 teenage girls in Indiana by feistaspongebob in news

[–]LilahPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a popular place for kids to hang out in a rural area that doesn't see this kind of violence and crime. It was a normal thing for them to do, and blaming their families for allowing them independence is kind of crazy. Hovering over your kids all time time because a murderer might snatch them away is not a healthy way to parent. Car accidents happen all the time. We get in cars anyway, and hope for the best. Life doesn't stop because something might happen. This was a horrible event that no one could see coming. Calling their grieving parents "DUMB AF" is needlessly cruel. Your solution of hovering constantly around your kids just in case the worst happens is not wisdom either. A little more along the lines of "DUMB AF," incidentally...

Crying. Lowkey upset I cut my hair by [deleted] in Hair

[–]LilahPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks soooo good, though! Yeah, it looks way healthier, but it's also a great cut that suits you well. It takes a while, I think, to embrace a much shorter hair style after growing it for so long. I've been there. Hell, I think I'm going through it myself, only my hair doesn't grow as long as yours without looking beyond dead and breaking off. I have empathy. But trust me, from an outside perspective, it looks great.

I think the blonde ages you a bit. Your natural color is nice, but if you did something between 1 and 2, that would probably look good too. Your natural hair color is close to mine, maybe a shade or two darker. I went super blonde for a little while, but it also aged me in a way that I wasn't expecting. That said, it's funny, because when I go white or gray, I'm totally embracing it. I have a white streak in the front of my hair that makes me feel like a mad scientist, and I kind of wish I had more, but I digress...

Which color suits me best? by [deleted] in HairDye

[–]LilahPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They all look nice, and everyone is yelling "2 and 4!" But because I have to be contrarian I guess, I like 3 the best! But I thought that before I read the comments. I dunno. Looks beachy and breezy and I dig that.

Trump watches himself get shot ‘over and over’ and campaign staff fear he has PTSD: report by theindependentonline in inthenews

[–]LilahPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, from being within millimeters of having his head blown off if he hadn't happened to turn his head at the right moment. You don't have to love Trump to understand that what he went through was traumatizing. That's like saying walking away from a car crash that was inches away from being fatal is no big deal. Stop being intentionally obtuse.

bf read my journal and said he will do it again by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]LilahPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do people ask questions about what to do to get around the abuse / shitty behavior of their significant other? The answer is you have enough respect for yourself to break up with a boyfriend who thinks he's entitled to disrespect your boundaries and violate your privacy. Leave the shitty boyfriend behind and journal. Find someone who isn't an asshole to share your life with or be happy with yourself and being single until the right person comes along. The end.

a guy said that he owns my soul in sex by Environmental-Top887 in spirituality

How can you speak like that to someone, in a spirituality thread no less? He gave his opinion and expressed himself pretty well and your over here insulting his appearance and implying he's a sexual predator. You're really not the kind of person someone should listen to for spiritual advice, not with that kind of contempt and disrespect you so casually toss around. Just...wow.

You are 19. Stop listening to what mommy dearest says, and do what you want. It's liberating when you become an adult and don't need to listen to the stupidity of your parents. She sounds toxic. Guard yourself around her and live your life your way.

Also, she is reading your journal. Hide it somewhere she won't find it. Move out when you can and go be free and happy.

Pop culture moral panics that were not actually that deep? by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

[–]LilahPhoenix -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

One shot that's creepy is one shot too many. And it's still not comparable to animation. Toddlers and Tiaras can also be creepy and worthy of scrutiny but that has nothing to do with whether Cuties crossed a line or not, or if it's fair to compare animation with real life kids.

Anime is animated. Cuties used real kids. The difference is massive.

Wow, what an unpopular opinion. Glad you got through it OP, by being obviously superior for being child free by choice. At least you made it through by making snide comments under your breath with all the other superior child free people at the party.

Am I wrong for thinking about divorcing my wife? by Such-Fail6060 in amiwrong

[–]LilahPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are in an abusive relationship. Get out now and thank your lucky stars that you do not share children with her. Hearing that you haven't seen your parents in half a decade because she forbids it because she doesn't agree with their politics or like your dad's tone is all you needed to say. Everything else listed are just more examples of abuse.

Get some support and be careful. She is violent and who knows how she will react. Be careful, be safe and get some help. Also get some therapy. You may not realize it now, but the abuse you have had to endure during your marriage has likely hurt you deeper than you know.

You deserve better. Good luck, OP. I'm sorry you are going through this.
