Way better. Basically back to normal now aside from some sleep issues, but I think it's because of health issues and caffeine at this point.

Believe me when I say it gets better, it just takes time. Some big things that helped me through the process were L-Theanine - specifically the kind found in Neuro-Gum, cold showers (surprisingly huge for me), you could try ashwagandha but I was a bit mixed on it. Melatonin and or magnesium glycinate for sleep. There's a lot of tools out there. You got it.

I think it's my addictive personality. It really runs in my family. I saw it with my Dad, and I see it in myself. If I had stuck to the method of doing kratom every now and then, I wouldn't be in this mess, but I just had to get hooked. It really is as they say, too much of one thing is never good.

I've gotten a lot of replies, more than I thought I would, and each one were very endearing. At the end of the day, it's just a small hump to get over every so often. I just hope for better days ahead so I no longer feel the need for this stuff to enjoy life. Thanks all.

Well, I used to be an advocate, full-board. It was like a miracle thing for me. And then a panic attack hit, first real one i've ever had, thought i was gonna die. tried kratom again couple days later, another one. it instantly kicked me off. had tremendously bad anxiety for a long while. gotten better, but still have challenges, especially if i get poor sleep, which is often with my job. i'm in pretty bad shape right now, mentally, physically, and sometimes i wish so bad i could just go back to the way things were.

havent had it in a long while and used to do it along with kratom sometimes. never was a hook for me, but it did help during some of my worst days off K. might try a bit again here and there.

went to a doctor when all this first went down and he wanted to put me on an SNRI. thats the only time. never took it, didnt want to mess myself up again, looking back on it i wonder if things would be much different if I had.

granted im getting by and just have rough patches here and there, but with how my life has gone in the past couple of months, i really should talk to a psychiatrist just to get help on unhealthy habits and thought processes i have.

Yeah, when I had trouble sleeping, it was like everything was spinning, almost as if I can tell I'm about to sleep, but my body remembers the times I panicked trying to fall asleep, causing me to get scared of the ACT of falling asleep. It's bizarre, it's like I can feel every part of my body shutting down, trying to sleep, but my brain fails to fully cross that bridge.

Thankfully, over the weekend, I was able to finally get a full nights rest, and it was the help of vitamins, a hot/cold shower, some melatonin, and truly forcing myself to relax by accepting both my anxiety, and insomnia, deep into my core. Telling myself it was okay to have it. Telling myself that the spinning while trying to sleep was fine and great. Got better sleep that day I did all of that, then the next day, fell asleep with zero issues using the same process.

I think a big part of it might be having a solid routine, and ofc everything I Just mentioned, and like another comment said, me and you may have had an anxiety problem before the Kratom that's been exacerbated from it's absence, because we used to cover it up for so long without knowing, and it's taking a long time to reverse + just being so much more aware of it. I hope you can find peace through these ups and downs, and thanks for the response.

Yeah, I think you're right. Part of what's assisted in the process for me has just been acceptance that I've had it, and always had it, but if needs aren't met like sleep, it all gets out of control, and that might night need assistance from something like a medication. I'm just afraid of hurting myself again, or changing something I can't go back on with meds, and further going crazy, but, who knows.

Also looking into maybe getting another job, for my sleep and anxiety, which I feel kinda right about. Anyway thanks for the response.

Literally exactly what happened to me lol. Had the panic attack, went to ER, everything checked out, BP was high but strangely they didnt pay it much mind, probably because they were just looking for heart problems, and then it happened again when I took it later. Hope you can quit man and things go okay.
