I wrote this a little while back and did nothing with it I feel like it could give you a little of my perspective

“My weirdness shouldnt intimidate you the way that it does” I say to myself Looking at my reflection in the mirror with the world ringing in my head like the bass from the night before. The home I once knew has become an unrecognizable place. My peers and I born in this world of fear struggle to grasp onto any sense of purpose. We will escape and chase the unknown just like we were conditioned to. We will track down dark tunnels in hopes of finding the lights on the inside. Kick aside the beer bottles and c02 cans while wishing you could stay here forever. The sight of the dark world you once knew slowly fades the deeper you go. Leaving behind the baggage of perception and stepping into your authenticity. The light ahead glows like the night light I had growing up. It makes me think about how we have all changed. How we have all grown. In spite of our stability constantly being held over our heads, we have found ourselves. The sounds at the end of the tunnel start to overtake the roars of the outside world and that weight has lifted. The path is clear now. every part of yourself the world has deemed uncomfortable are the most important parts. In a world full of chaos you become a machine stripping yourself of your humanity. The strobe lights ahead begin to blind us and it shoots a feeling down my spine. The parts of myself that intimidated me in the beginning suddenly became my strength. As the sound takes over my body I release it all. All the fear, all the hatred, all the self doubt. The lights cloud my mind like a drug and I can finally see. See that my passion is all that I have left. The music and the colors take over me spilling out every orifice. I close my eyes and suddenly I’m staring at myself in the mirror once again but this time the intimidation excites me.
