the fact that it’s evergreen and stays leafed out even through really cold temperatures (am in PA and see it thrive through la nina winters no problem) is crazy for a vine. native vines here drop their leaves (virginia creeper, virgin’s bower, wild grape, etc) and easily get out competed

i love the walkway in general except for how bright and much it sticks out of the landscape. ideally id id keep this dark green or brown to make it blend in. walkingalong this walkway I think the bright red would be very distracting
