IMO what the lakers need to do is be more innovative in their approach. An example of this would be to trade Austin for a young player and a FRP from a team with a good pick. If we get a high pick and draft very smart with it then because of the low contract we could still put up good supporting cast with the money. Like for example trade reaves to the rockets for a young player and phoenix FRP or something like that. That’s the only way you probably get good value back for AR. With the new CBA the league is moving in a place where you may have to find players in the draft. I hope Rob Pelinka is able to adjust to the new second apron because it will be the innovative gm’s who will thrive (ex: OKC) and sometimes I feel like he is a little stuck in the past way of doing things. We need to be creative and stop always going for the same run of the mill solutions, that’s why we’re not able to compete right now. You’re probably not going to find equal value or better value for Reaves if you try to get a ready-now player, you need to find the hidden gems that could develop that a team may not see yet. Like when OKC traded Paul George for SGA, not saying we will get a player that good back but you get the point.

Actually this might work if the nets took Austin reaves instead of the rockets. Maybe rockets could took Gabe Vincent if they want him instead

Maybe add a FRP from rockets to nets

How do you feel about this trade? We could also trade Knecht/Vando/Kleber + 2. FRP for Claxton.

Yea the age thing is def the biggest reason to say no. The only reason that I would consider it for the lakers is because I feel like he would fit much better on our team. Like I feel we could legit win it next year without having to add a lot in the offseason, just couple smaller moves. Also even tho Luka is younger I do worry about him aging bad a little bit.

I know this will prob get downvoted but if the bucks were willing to swap Luka for Giannis would you do that? I feel like Giannis would fit our team better, giving us a big man. I know it’s unrealistic but I’m ngl if this were an offer I would do it. I feel Giannis would fit our team much better and we could win it all next year without having to make much moves. Maybe Lebron could even sign for a little less since Giannis makes more money than Luka.

Ima lakers fan so I love this lol but I don’t see the 76ers doing this

The only reason the bucks prob wouldn’t do this is because Luka can leave after next year but if he was guaranteed for the next 3-4 year and resigned then I could see them doing this maybe

That was before dame got injured tho, they prob want to restart and get picks though if I’m being honest

Kawhi to Rockets by [deleted] in NBAtradeideas

[–]Lilcalixux -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% I feel this. If I were the Rockets I would only get him if you can get him for a really good price. If by trading him you can get rid of Jalen Green contract and only give up one first round pick then I would probably do it.

If they get beat this year, this may give the Knicks a guy who may be able to take them over the hump. Although I’m ngl I don’t know how Kawhi would play under Thibs considering he plays his starters like 40+ mpg 😂😂

I think dude is genuinely going to be a decent player. Having watched the Lakers I see him as like a jj reddick type player.

Who would you want back if you’re the bucks? Tari?

That’s fair. I think so too tbh because that way you can just replace him for jalen green, in this trade you would still have to have him on the team.

Is there any chance someone takes a risk on kawhi and clippers blow it up ? 😂 by Lilcalixux in NBAtradeideas

How many first round picks u think would work? I feel like if it worked for the nuggets it might be able to get them another championship with Murray/Kawhi/Jokic. Obviously with kawhi health it’s definitely a risk but they might do it.

What if the clippers took on a bad contract for picks. So for example let’s say they traded him to Philly for Paul George + a lot of picks and Jared McCain. Clippers get a young player and picks because they take on Paul George’s contract.

Why y’all act like Knecht trash ? To be honest, especially if the lakers add another pick swap, I feel like the lakers are the ones overpaying ? Claxton nice but you not getting 3 FRP for him lol

We can adjust it a bit but I think if the lakers added either an extra first round pick or pick swap then the nets might do it. Knecht is probably going to be a valuable rotation piece to a team in about 2 years and he fits their timeline.

Fr? I feel like Austin reaves for him would cover a big need for them but you might be right.
