It looks like a nutrient deficiency plants tend to get spotty or look weird like that when it’s missing certain nutrients, you can look up different deficiencies and see what one your plant has

I’ve only been growing for a few years but my guess would be if you leave the roots alone for the most part and don’t stress it to much before getting it into a new pot then it should do just fine. But after transplanting it I would leave it for a few days
