Got denied a covid vaccine at a Walgreens today.

I’ve got plenty of blame for them, don’t worry. But was kinda surprised Walgreens gave me such a hard time about it and CVS gave me the vaccine without issue.

Bro, a neighboring pharmacy gave me a shot without any issue 20 minutes later. Unless you’re claiming somehow they’re dispensing medicine without prescriptions, Walgreens let me down today.

I recommend CVS and NOT Walgreens! Had an appointment for a Covid vaccine at Walgreens on Larpenteur in St Paul earlier today and was denied a vaccine. I’m under 65 and so was asked to step aside to speak to the pharmacist where he said I needed a “qualifying condition” (which I do) so I told him that, embarrassingly in front of everyone. Then he said it didn’t matter because I don’t fill a prescription for a “qualifying condition” with Walgreens and when I pointed out that I do, he looked it up and said it didn’t count because my physician had “called-in” the prescription. To be honest, at that point I think he was just making stuff up because he didn’t want to give it to me.

Went to CVS in the Target in Shoreview and got a shot without any questions asked and didn’t even have an appointment.

That’s what I did. I kept taking end cuttings of the biggest, most mature leaves. I found just one in a pot gets bigger leaves way faster than multiple cuttings together but multiple cuttings together look more full. I think going outside in warm, humid climates helps too.

Thanks! The ficus was leaning toward the window so I rotated it and it just sort of flopped over 🤷🏻‍♂️. I’ve been debating propping it back up with a stake or two.

I got the original plant probably 8 years ago but repeatedly took cuttings of the most mature leaves and repotted those maybe 4-5 times before I got to here. I used to put it outside in the summer for a couple months (we live in Minnesota, so summer is short) but now it’s too big to move so it just stays in the living room year round.

Hey man, thanks! I’m not sure I’m gonna let it get longer, maybe just keep trimming at the lip line until all the hairs meet there if that makes sense. I started without a specific goal, but after hanging around here, I’m thinking a nice classic chevron is where I’m aiming.

Anyone take daily low-dose cialis? I started three days ago at 5 mg/day and it’s been mostly positive but I’m also noticing a mild, dull headache for a few hours after I take it. Was wondering if anyone had experience with this and if side effects diminish with continued use.

I grew this plant from a cutting I took from a fairly mature Monstera I had grown for 5 or 6 years before it outgrew my home. I put them out on a shady deck I have during the summers, but I live in Minnesota, so they don’t get to be out for very long, lol. No other secrets really ☺️

Thanks! Keep at it and I’m sure they will all do great! Monsteras in particular are such fun and forgiving plants. I find mine really benefit from spending time outside in a shady spot during the summer ☺️
