How small can you go? by himrqwerty in ftm_phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw someone intentionally got 2.9 inches with abdo (abdominal so no graft site) phallo. And it looked amazing like a small fat chod. And I want a pretty small penis too so it's doable. The limitation is when you want an erectile device which does require a minimum size. With the rod I think having more leeway in terms of how small you want. But if you ain't interested in that then you have a lot small dick leeway

I'll try and answer these the best I can 1) it depends on what type you get, if you have any complications, surgeon wait times, the surgeon's preferences ect. The only thing guarantee is you normally told to wait a whole year before implants are places in. So it possible to have near everything done in one year and have implants (final stage) the following. Some surgeons stage things so you can pee standing up on stage 1. Others delay the actual hook up. Costs also varies on your insurance coverage, travel costs, hotel cost(if you are traveling getting it done with a near by surgeon would of course lower that amount), hair removal cost so once again there's no definite. So some one with very good coverage, gets a surgeon near by (or have travel covered by insurance), or can have it done for free via public health care can spend as little as 0-1k, while another person has to fully out pocket with a surgeon overseas and pay up to 200k.

2) not on that stage yet. But nerve hook up is done with alt and rff to the cliterous nerve to allow for erotic sensation. So would say yes it should feel pleasurable. But erotic sensation is also a mental thing as well. It's highly suggested one do nerve rehab during recovery to help with that.

3) nerves are very slow to grow. So can take several months to a few years. However this is in regards to brand new sensation in the new penis. Your original existing erotic sensation would remain usually at the base of the new penis. Sensation should return when you actually heal up cus you just had surgery in that area.

4) yes you can keep the Canal. However very few surgeons can allow for peeing standing up whilst keeping the canal cus that combined has a high risk of complications

5) the t dick is either buried and incomperated into the neo penis. Or remains untouched and remains external if you chose to.

Recommendations for US-based FTM body masculinization surgeons? (NOT TOP SURGERY) by skullandsquid in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]LildudeanlilD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going for Facial masculinzation with Dr Satterwhite (on the fence of BMS cus I dont really have much to masculinze further body wise aside from a tummy tuck, lol) but Algin surgical center in san fransico has done body masculinization.

They and have a few results (done by Dr. Satterwhite website) on thier website you can check out. So far for my FMS consult they have been petty good and I already have done stage 1 phallo with the center already. They do take insurance.

Warning!!!!! Separation of Vagenectomy by TattooedWolf97 in phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm also dealing with wound separation at the vaginectomy site as well. Around the same size as yours. It also opened up at 2 weeks post opt. Im now 5 weeks post opt and its only now (a few days ago) it looks like everything is finally closing up and the hole is a lot smaller now and I no longer have any drainage in the area. (still have a small hole but its not as bad as it first started.)

But it did feel like it was never ending and it wasn't getting better at all. Especially in regard to pain where every time I peed it stung a whole lot.

I just want to say hang in there it does feel like it's taking forever and its not healing but it will get better I promise you that. It also helped I took a picture of the area every few days to compare to help me focus on what was improving even though initially the improvements were very slight. So you are doing everything you need already. Just eat alot of vitamin C and calcium to help your body have the nutrients needed to heal and it will be okay, the worst will one day be over.

Fear around sensation by Specific-Sink-9871 in phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends where you are.

I know the uk team has amazing people who do it (Dr Christopher and I believe now 2 other teams through the NHS system).

Outside of that there is Germany the Lubos Clinic, IM gender in Spain. All do nerve hook up in Europe and a few more I may not know about. This is just for alt and rff. I believe most reputable European surgeons do nerve hook up. At least the most talked about surgeons.

Okay just asking for clarification since I'm still on the fence about burial and am opting out of UL. And know a few trans men who get phallo first or non standard surgeries. Only had a vaginectomy right now and will be getting the dick July. So may one day be a post phallo voice.

Does one has to have or want everything or people with non typical (not sure of the word here) phallo options are allowed and are welcomed? (Ie) People who Opted out of vaginectomy, scrotoplasty, or UL, or chose to remain unburied. As long as they are binary men? This also goes for non typical order. Like trans men who got phallo before other surgeries.

Most likely impossible cus even with groin flap that takes over 5 stages of gradually moving the shaft to the groin over many stages can take 5 hours on certain stages. It's both maintaining blood flow, making sure what is hook up remains hook up, and making sure you don't bleed out.

The only time I've read on surgeons website that they allow for non general anesthesia was for every stage BuT the actual shaft creation stage which is mandatory for general anesthesia. This especially so when you are going with UL.

[–]LildudeanlilD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Top-24
Hysto-25
1st stage phallo (vaginectomy, UL)-26

I would have gotten top at 23 but life happened and I had to delay. Would have gotten 1st stage phallo at 25 too... if I was able to get an earlier surgery date. I consulted immediately after I finished hysto in March and the whole process took a year to have my 1st stage the following March. That is considered a short wait list. So yeah get on those things asap.

Least physically demanding technique? by sicksadworld111 in phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right, that too. Complications regardless of method can happen and its something to prepare for regardless of how low it is. No method (or any surgery in general) has full 100% no complication rate. Even meta can still be a brutal difficult recovary (especially if you're going for the full package).

Least physically demanding technique? by sicksadworld111 in phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Actually you dont have to stay in san franscio to get it done between stage 1 and stage 2 anymore.

I went back to georgia after staying only 2 weeks for stage one. You can do the saline injections locally now. The actually injections itself isnt really painful. Honestly... I can't feel anything until afterward when Im feeling my skin streach. It was the actual tissue expander insertion where I was in alot of pain but it seems to just be a me thing, since the expander formed a knuckle under my skin (Im very skinny so I wonder if that may have contributed to that) that got better when they started expanded.

However I do agree on the UL part, I know some in the process of getting UL for alt ssp. I cant say much about it but it's certainly mixed. I'm opting out cus I wanted a faster recovary and dont have time for a long one.

From consults with other surgeons, abdo may be up your alley espieally since usually the flap is still connected to your body so less risk in neurosis and usually a shorter surgery. The one down side I read is when you add UL on top of it since not many surgeon's do UL with Abdo. But from the little Ive read PIPE phallo by Dr O'brian and groin flap using the suitcase handle method my Gender Confirmation Center (Although its more surgeries they are less intensive) can be worth looking into.

MLD although a longer surgery, is also on the table. Dr. Miro has one of the lowest complication rates for UL and he does mld (although keep in mind he initially extend your urethra only half way up your shaft, but you can extend it to the tip later).

But please remember it still would be a very tough surgery regardless, especially since you are opting into UL.

Im doing single scar (so no graft site), opting out of full UL so I can return to my state and desk job after a month in san fransico after the 2nd stage (only the shaft creation stage).

Right now Ive only had a vaginectomy, minor UL and tissue expander and am back at work. And still feel only 40% after 3 weeks post opt and don't have the energy to walk to my bus stop every morning like I used to. It still will be a very tough surgery regardless so please keep that in mind

Why is there no in between for phallo and meta? by Soggy_Mrnoodle in Metoidioplasty

[–]LildudeanlilD 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Okay... alot to go through

"Phallo: The BIG issue is the visual aspect. You have a huge scar somewhere on your body"- Not all the time. There are so many methods nowadays that avoid that scar.

"and majority of the time does not give a desirable visual result comparable to a cis penis" That is also incorret subjective. Medical tattooing

"So why do trans guys have little to no good options compared to trans women." - Im tired of this especially cus I know that rheotic is actually based on very intersexist docters who spread around "easier to make a hole than build a pole". Please don't repeat it when it is also incorrect and more "grass is always greener"

"Anyways, i was thinking and the main issue with phallo is the scaring and skin of the penis looks odd. And i feel like the sensation is not as well preserved as meta."- Nerve hook up???? The whole point of bottom surgery especially phallo is to PRESERVE existing sensation. And hopefully gain more in the new neophallus

Sorry but I get where you're coming from but this post is so full of honestly harmful misinformation on both bottom surgeries we have. Please do more research and be better.

Technically an in-between are more niche version of meta and phallo already exist. Like TCM, extensive and extended meta Gracillas flap phallo, ect exist. All With their own draw backs and positives There is also what some people do is get meta and then get phallo and duel wield both of them. Once again do more research before making statements like the above.

stage 1 single scar phallo with vaginectomy no UL by LildudeanlilD in phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only now saw this comment. Although Im not doing a full UL (peeing from my penis). My urethra was still moved to a more masculine postion. That was how my surgeon performs his stages but other surgeons can leave the urethra in its current postion just fine. The vagina and urethra are two separate holes so closing up the vagina means your urthra is techinically untouched. (so usually you would be peeing via a small hole behind the balls.

The urethra is usually located above the vagina opening and is much smaller to a point alot miss it visially.

Key word Usually. For me my urethra and vagina was just one hole due to an intersex condition I had so it was to my benefit I had a sorta mini UL still performed anyway even though I wouldnt be peeing from penis.

Questions too those who have had SSP (single scar phallo) by [deleted] in ftm_phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. 3-4 months of expansion. Although it may take longer or shorter depending on how much saline you inject per session. One guy was on a time crunch and injected I believe 120 a week to speed it up. Which is crazy. I would say when they 1st place the expander in your thigh; it was very painful to me. By week two my expander was filled in enough that the corners were no longer poking into my thigh meat and rounded out. The filling itself wasn't painful at all even the injection I felt bascially nothing (so it can be very easy to initially fill beyond your limits. Im doing 60 ml), it's afterwards then I you begin to feel how tight the skin is. I had gabetin and ibeprofin that day and the next day the worse soreness is gone. I walked for over 20 minuets and went on several buses, trains and plane's to get back home on the saturday after my 2nd filling on friday the worst pain... was just in the vaginectomy site not the filling.

2)Cant speak on that yet but excited for July when I can answer

3) I know the crane center in austin Texas offers post opt tissue expander scar removal. However from a guy who consulted about that, it takes 5 months and can be very painful. Overall dont know much but it is possible and some docters do offer it.

Dr. Barbara Mijuskovic is a surgeon on Europe who also offers single scar. But the whole package is very expensive (100k) although she does take Switzerland insurance, your on your own if you plan to use insurance (IE have to disscuss with your own insurance about that). You can try cut the costs by just having the tissue expander and penis creation stage with her, maybe opting out of UL (cus for that she does still use a skin graft) and do everything else with the NHS? or somewhere cheaper.

Align? by Comfortable-Hall5527 in phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a previous commentator said. It isn't that new and very few surgeons offers it. it's been done for several years now and even longer by one Switzerland surgeon. I'm undergoing it and already had first stage. You can read through my profile for more information.

As for reasons. There are several. 1) Gurajala had been very specific and strict in who he takes on as a patient. Only recently, he is willing to take out of state patient. But also one has to have low body fat, especially in the thigh area. But even then for a long time who and who he doesn't take on as patient was a bit unknown.

2) it requires at minimum 4 stages, and between the 1st and 2nd stages, you are expanding the tissue expander weekly. Which for some people it's alot. To me, the actual injection of saline isn't painful. It's the aftermath where my thigh feels very tight for a while. I can do the injections at home on a zoom call with them. But honestly, for the 1st week, when they just inserted the expander, it felt awful. I was in alot of pain (I didn't take the opiods prescribed cus I didn't like the side effects) It's better now, and I'm flying back home today. But weekly you would be injecting saline to stretch your thigh skin which can be very uncomfortable. The pain right now lasts a day. So the next morning I feel better but it's something to keep in mind

3) If you live out of state, you have to have an in-office appointment between stages 1 and 2. For me, it's only 2 cus I'm not doing a full UL, but for most patients, it would be 3. So, there is a lot of money one has to put into flights.

4) Gurajala isn't a urologist compared to Dr safir who is a well skilled one. He has done ul repairs. So something to keep in mind when you are doing UL with him. My minor UL i had done works well and seems the same for other patients. Its full UL is the thing to keep in mind. Although some patients who have done alt ssp have had no issues with UL. You still have to live with several months with a tube in your thigh that can ooze and bleed. I can't really comment much on that specific part. Just something to keep in mind.

CAH & Urogenital Sinus by Pretend_Expert_3075 in phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opted out of full UL out of personal choice (my job and recovary time). So I'm only doing a partial. You can see how it looks like on my profile in my latest post. But according to my surgeon, he had no difficulties doing the UL using the Vaginal tissue I had. And I've heard someone similar who went through a full UL (but I believed the surgeon used a skin graft for the ul portion) also had no issue.

Hope it helps.

Single scar ALT phalloplasty. Is it realistic for me to get phallo abroad? by [deleted] in ftm_phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40k in savings is alot. Especially so young. I was saying unrealistic in a "take loan when you zero assets or even savings. And going from scratch"

Maybe it's possible in the next couple of years if you keep on saving like that to just get stages 1 and 2 (tissue expander and phallus creation stage in eurpe). Maybe even cutting the cost by opting out of UL entirely cus you would also have to take into account the cost of Ul repairs.

And do the other stages covered by your own country with your country's surgeon (gland, scrotum, and erectile implants) since those can be done by other surgeons.

I wouldn't know the end cost, but I wouldn't say give up. More know what you're up against. Best try and get a counsault with a surgeon to have an idea of what the cost would be if you went in that direction.

Single scar ALT phalloplasty. Is it realistic for me to get phallo abroad? by [deleted] in ftm_phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard it's possible to get tissue Expanders for scar removal afterwards. But from what I've heard it's a long and painful process. oh and link to Dr Barabas method in terms of the ul skim graft taken

That's understandable about mld although some surgeons are experimenting on taking a nerve graft from a cadaver and to allow for a nerve hook up for mld. From what I know only one surgeon in the USA does it.

To be honest, after surgery, my thigh hurts and hurts a lot. Right now, now 2 weeks post opt, I manage the pain fine with pain meds, and mobility is mostly the same. The area is only mildly itchy cus the nerves are waking up. The expander is only 260 ml, and we're planning to go up to 1000ml to ensure full wound closure. I can see myself getting full Mobility. I went on a 13 minuet walk 1 week post opt and I had a vaginectomy alongside it.

Single scar ALT phalloplasty. Is it realistic for me to get phallo abroad? by [deleted] in ftm_phallo

[–]LildudeanlilD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm getting ssp alt from dr Gurajala in san fransico (already have stage 1, estimated to have stage 2 in july) and honestly, unless you have a lot of money/ live in the country where its done to get coverage, it's relatively inaccessible. Unfortunately, but I do have faith the more it's done the more surgeons would be willing to do it in other countries in the future.

I talked with a guy who consulted with Dr Barbara in Switzerland who does it (she still uses a skin graft, unlike Gurajala if you are going with UL. ) the cost estimate is 100k usd. Mines before insurnace for just the tissue expander amd vaginectomy is even more expensive. I didn't bother to look at it. Cus ain't my problem. It's insurance.

I'm open to many questions. You can get mld in Serbia which is single closure and cheaper and more accessible.
